Alex Pricing (2026): Plans, Costs and What You Actually Pay

Alex, the AI recruiter formerly called Apriora, publishes no prices. Here's how to scope a quote and which tools list theirs.

NTRVSTA wrote this page. We make a competing product, so we stick to Alex's own published pricing and say where it isn't published.

The short answer: Alex pricing in 2026

Alex pricing is not published. Alex's pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026, offers one thing: a 30-minute demo with "an AI expert", booked through a short form. There are no plan names, no price ranges and no free trial on the page. This is Alex the AI recruiter at alex.com, the company formerly known as Apriora, not the separate London recruiting firm with a similar name.

What you get on each Alex plan

Alex doesn't publish tiers, so the table maps what Alex sells, based on its own product pages. Which modules land in your contract is a question for the demo.

PlanPriceWhat's includedBest for
Any planNot publishedQuote after a 30-minute demo; no tiers listedTeams ready for a sales conversation
Free trialNot publishedNone listed on the pricing pageNot applicable
First-round interviews (module pricing not published)Not publishedAlex says it runs an "always-on" first-round interview by phone or video, two-way with follow-up questions, and books qualified candidates on team calendarsStaffing firms and enterprises with steady first-round volume
Screening, fraud and ID checks (module pricing not published)Not publishedResume screens against job criteria, fraud-risk scoring of applications, real-time proctoring, and an ID check that matches a government ID to a live selfieRemote roles where candidate fraud is a worry
Talent Match (module pricing not published)Not publishedRediscovers past candidates already in your ATS and reaches out to them by SMS or WhatsAppTeams with a large ATS backlog

Alex says it has 33 or more officially supported ATS integrations but doesn't list their names on its homepage, so bring your ATS name to the demo. Alex announced $20M in total funding on September 29, 2025, a $17M Series A led by Peak XV plus a $3M seed, which tells you the company is backed to keep selling and supporting the product, though funding has no direct bearing on your price.

What drives the price

Alex doesn't publish its pricing levers. The product is modular (interviews, fraud checks, ID verification, proctoring, scheduling, rediscovery), so the most likely driver is which pieces you buy and at what volume. Treat that as our reading of the product, not a statement from Alex.

General levers that apply to most AI recruiting contracts:

  • Interview volume. Completed first-round interviews per month or per year is the usual unit for AI interviewers.
  • Add-on checks. Proctoring and identity checks often cost extra per candidate because they rely on outside data or extra processing.
  • Channels. Phone, video, SMS and WhatsApp each carry their own carrier or infrastructure costs.
  • Languages. Alex says it covers 30 languages; ask whether non-English interviews are priced the same.
  • Integration work and term. Enterprise ATS setups and multi-year terms both change the number.

Questions to ask Alex before you buy

  1. Which modules are in the base price, and which (Verify, Identity, Proctor, Talent Match, Coordinator) are add-ons?
  2. What is the billing unit: per interview, per candidate, per hire or a platform fee?
  3. Is my ATS one of the 33+ supported integrations, and is setup included?
  4. What's the cost of an interview that a candidate starts but doesn't finish?
  5. Is there a pilot before an annual contract, and what does it cost?
  6. What is the minimum term, and can we scale volume down mid-contract?
  7. Can we export recordings, transcripts and scores when the contract ends?

Cheaper or simpler options than Alex

If you want to see a price before you take a demo, these tools publish one, or at least let you start on your own.

  • Interviewer.AI. The Professional plan is $399 a month (monthly billing) for 120 credits and includes conversational avatar interviews with adaptive follow-ups and fraud checks; each avatar interview uses 2 credits. Essential, at $199 a month, is one-way video. Both start with a 14-day trial. See Interviewer.AI pricing.
  • Classet. Phone-based AI interviews for hourly hiring, from $249 a month annually ($349 month-to-month) for 50 completed interviews. Classet's Enterprise tier, with ATS Sync, starts at $1,995 a month. See Classet pricing.
  • Tenzo. Also a multi-agent AI recruiter with fraud checks and scheduling, aimed at staffing and volume hiring. Pricing is not published (custom quote), so it's an alternative on features, not price. See Tenzo pricing.
  • NTRVSTA (us). Carolina, our AI Head of Talent, sources candidates, reaches out by email, SMS and WhatsApp, scores resumes, runs live AI interviews and schedules panels, inside the ATS you already use. Starter is $0 for one open role with 10 AI interviews; Team is $490 a month billed annually ($590 monthly) for 60 AI interviews; Scale is $1,490 a month annually ($1,790 monthly) for 250. See our pricing. We don't publish identity verification or proctoring, so if fraud checks are your top requirement, Alex covers more of that.

Questions

How much does Alex cost?

Alex doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page only offers a 30-minute demo, so you get a number after a sales conversation. Ask for the price per completed interview and which modules are included.

Is Alex the same company as Apriora?

Yes. The company's legal name is Apriora Inc., doing business as Alex, and apriora.ai redirects to alex.com. It is a different company from a London recruiting business also called Alex.

Does Alex have a free trial?

No free trial is listed. Alex's pricing page offers a demo only. If you want to test it on real candidates, ask for a pilot and get its cost and length in writing.

What is a cheaper alternative to Alex with public prices?

Interviewer.AI publishes plans from $199 a month and Classet from $249 a month billed annually. Our own Starter plan is free for one open role with 10 AI interviews. Each covers a different slice of what Alex does, so compare features too.
