hireEZ vs NTRVSTA: two agentic recruiters, compared honestly

hireEZ's EZ Agent and NTRVSTA's Carolina both work on top of your ATS. The differences are in the interview, the channels, the approvals and the price list.

Full disclosure: we're the NTRVSTA team, and we wrote this hireEZ vs NTRVSTA comparison about our own product and a direct competitor. Facts about hireEZ come only from hireEZ's own site, linked under Sources.

Of all the sourcing brands, hireEZ has moved closest to what NTRVSTA does. Its EZ Agent pitches "enterprise hiring, run by agents" on top of your existing ATS: sourcing, applicant ranking, AI screens, outreach and scheduling. Carolina, NTRVSTA's AI Head of Talent, covers the same stages. So this comparison comes down to details, and both products win some of them.

The short answer

Choose hireEZ if you're an enterprise or staffing team that wants the biggest published sourcing reach (1B+ profiles across 45+ platforms, per hireEZ), InMail in the outreach mix, a long list of security certifications and named Fortune 500 references. Choose NTRVSTA if you want a live AI interview that adapts as it goes and can appear as a video avatar, WhatsApp alongside email and SMS, a per-action choice of suggest, ask first or auto, a published NYC LL144 audit for the interviews, and a full public price list with a free plan.

How NTRVSTA works

Give Carolina an open role and it sources people for it, then reaches them by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Every resume, sourced or inbound, gets a score and a rank against the job, with an explanation you can read and argue with.

Candidates who clear that bar get a live AI interview. It's a real-time conversation, either with a video avatar or audio only, and it raises or lowers difficulty depending on how each answer goes. It handles technical roles and non-technical ones, runs any time of day and works in multiple languages. Reports include a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments and a link you can send to the hiring manager. Carolina then books the next round and full panels through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly.

You decide how much rope it gets. Each action can be set to suggest, ask first or auto, and offers and compensation changes always wait for a person. Ask Carolina about the pipeline in plain English, or read the morning digest it posts in Slack or Teams. It connects to systems like Bullhorn and iCIMS rather than replacing them, and setup takes a few days depending on customization.

How hireEZ works

hireEZ, formerly Hiretual, now leads with EZ Agent, and hireez.com redirects straight to that product page. hireEZ says its agents source from 1B+ profiles across 45+ platforms, read and rank every application, run email, SMS and InMail sequences, and screen candidates in conversation by voice or chat using your own questions. Its AI Scheduler syncs calendars, coordinates panels and handles reschedules within rules you set.

Human approval is central to hireEZ's pitch: "nothing moves forward without your approval." Its screening also produces an integrity report that flags AI-assisted answers and voice inconsistencies.

hireEZ publishes a deep security list: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR (with a TrustArc validation letter), CCPA and OFCCP record-keeping support. It names customers including Visa, Lyft, Hilton, Mastercard and Kaiser Permanente, and says 70+ Fortune 500 teams use it.

When hireEZ is the better choice

  • Sourcing reach matters most, and you want a published 1B+ profile index across 45+ platforms.
  • InMail is a core channel for your recruiters.
  • Your security review requires SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 reports, which hireEZ lists and we don't publish.
  • You want a four-week verification period on your own data before you sign an enterprise deal.

Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we're newer and smaller than hireEZ, and we have no published customer case studies yet. We don't publish a profile database or deep search filters, which is hireEZ's home ground. We're not an ATS or a system of record. And if your hiring is high-volume hourly work built on SMS apply and chat scheduling, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are designed for it.

Pricing compared

hireEZ lists a Solo recruiter plan from $494 a month with a 7-day free trial. Enterprise pricing isn't on the site. hireEZ says it prices against the tools it replaces and runs a four-week verification before signing.

NTRVSTA's plans are all on our pricing section:

  • Starter, at $0, lets you run one open role with 10 AI interviews before you enter any card details.
  • Team: $490/mo billed annually or $590 billed monthly, with 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, and up to 10 seats.
  • Scale runs $1,490/mo with annual billing or $1,790 with monthly billing; 250 AI interviews come with it each month and extras cost $9 apiece.
  • Enterprise and agency deals are priced per hire or per seat instead of by interview volume.

At list price, our Team plan on annual billing and hireEZ's Solo plan land in the same range per month. The difference is what the money covers: Team includes up to 10 seats and 60 live AI interviews, about $8.17 per interview if you use them all. Annual billing saves about 17%.

Who should pick which

  • If the widest published sourcing index is your top requirement, pick hireEZ.
  • If you want candidates to meet an interviewer on screen, as a video avatar, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If InMail sequences are central to your outreach, pick hireEZ.
  • If your candidates reply on WhatsApp, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you need a published NYC LL144 audit for AI interviews you run on New York candidates, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you're a large enterprise that wants SOC 2 and ISO reports in the first security call, pick hireEZ.

Questions

Is hireEZ the same company as Hiretual?

Yes. hireEZ was formerly called Hiretual and is still independent. Its main domain, hireez.com, now redirects to its EZ Agent product page.

What kind of AI interview does hireEZ run?

hireEZ describes conversational AI screens by voice, which it calls AI phone interviews, or by chat, using the customer's questions. It doesn't say whether the follow-up questions adapt. NTRVSTA runs live AI interviews as a video avatar or audio only, and the questions and difficulty adapt to each answer.

Does hireEZ publish its pricing?

Partly. hireEZ lists a Solo recruiter plan from $494 a month with a 7-day free trial. Enterprise pricing isn't published; hireEZ says it prices against the tools it replaces and offers a four-week verification before signing. NTRVSTA publishes every plan, starting with a $0 Starter plan.

Do hireEZ or NTRVSTA have an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit?

hireEZ doesn't publish an LL144 audit claim. Its footer links an AI assurance page from Warden AI about candidate sourcing. NTRVSTA's LL144 audit by Asenion was finalized on October 20, 2026, and it covers the AI interviews only.

Comparing agents is easier on a real requisition. Book a demo and bring one, or sit through a sample AI interview as a candidate. The audit report is summarized on our compliance page.
