Full disclosure: we make NTRVSTA, so read this Phenom vs NTRVSTA comparison knowing we're one of the two products in it. Facts about Phenom come only from Phenom's own pages, which we link under Sources.
Phenom is one of the best-known talent experience platforms, and it now ships AI agents across screening, interviewing and scheduling. NTRVSTA takes a narrower route. It doesn't ask you to adopt a new career site or CRM. Carolina, our AI Head of Talent, plugs into the ATS, HRIS, calendar and chat tools you already pay for and does the recruiting work there.
The short answer
Choose Phenom if you're a large or high-volume employer that wants one platform for the career site, CRM, scheduling, onboarding and internal mobility, with voice screening and an AI interviewer included. Choose NTRVSTA if you want to keep the stack you have and add an agent that sources, does outreach, scores resumes, runs live AI interviews and books panels, with public pricing and a free plan. Phenom doesn't publish its prices.
Side by side: Phenom vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
Carolina handles a role from the first search to the hiring manager's calendar. She finds candidates, contacts them by email, SMS or WhatsApp, and ranks every resume against the job with a written reason for each score. Then she runs live AI interviews, either as a video avatar or as audio, for technical and non-technical roles in several languages. The interviewer adapts its questions to each answer, and you get a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments and a shareable report.
Recruiters stay in charge of how much she does alone. Every action can be set to suggest, ask first or auto, and offers or compensation changes always wait for a person. You can ask Carolina pipeline questions in plain English, and she sends a morning digest in Slack or Microsoft Teams. NTRVSTA connects to 70 systems, from ATS and HRIS to payroll and calendars, and most teams are set up within a few days.
How Phenom works
Phenom sells a broad AI talent platform. It covers the career site candidates land on, a Talent CRM, interview scheduling, onboarding, an internal talent marketplace and workforce intelligence. Its WorkOps layer coordinates the agents that run across those pieces.
Two agents matter most for this comparison. The Voice Screening Agent calls candidates soon after they apply, asks adaptive screening questions and scores each answer from 1 to 5 against a rubric. The AI Interviewer holds a real-time voice conversation, decides its next question from what it hears, and can show an avatar. Phenom says each rating is a proposal that a recruiter accepts or overrides, and every call opens with scripted consent.
On security, Phenom shows SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701 and CSA STAR, and calls its applied AI FedRAMP-Ready. It is independent and privately held.
When Phenom is the better choice
- You want to replace your career site, CRM, scheduling and onboarding tools with one vendor at the same time.
- Internal mobility and a talent marketplace are part of the brief, not just external hiring.
- Your security review requires SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and CSA STAR documentation up front.
- You hire at very high volume and want a screening call placed soon after each application.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we're newer and much smaller than Phenom, and we have no published customer case studies yet. NTRVSTA isn't an ATS, a career-site builder or a workforce-planning suite, so if you want one platform for all of it, Phenom covers more ground. For SMS-first hourly hiring as the main flow, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are purpose-built.
Pricing compared
Phenom doesn't publish prices or a free trial. Its pages lead to a demo request, so plan on a sales process and a quote.
NTRVSTA publishes every plan on our pricing section. Starter is $0 for one open role and 10 AI interviews, with no card. Team is $490/mo billed annually or $590 month to month, with 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, and up to 10 seats. Scale is $1,490/mo billed annually or $1,790 month to month, with 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each. Enterprise and agency plans are priced per hire or per seat.
Per interview, Team billed annually comes to about $8.17 per interview when you use all 60. Scale billed annually comes to about $5.96 per interview at 250. Annual billing saves about 17%.
Who should pick which
- If your career site and CRM are due for replacement anyway, pick Phenom.
- If you just finished rolling out an ATS and don't want another platform project, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you want candidates to see a video avatar interviewer for technical roles, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you need FedRAMP-ready AI and a long list of security certifications, pick Phenom.
- If you want WhatsApp outreach and a free plan to test with one role, pick NTRVSTA.
- If internal mobility is as important as external hiring, pick Phenom.

Questions
Is Phenom an ATS?
Phenom says its agents work with your system of record, and it sells the layers around it: a career site, Talent CRM, scheduling, onboarding, a talent marketplace and workforce intelligence. The pages we checked did not name which ATS products it connects to, so ask Phenom for your specific system.
Does Phenom's AI Interviewer use video?
Phenom describes its AI Interviewer as a real-time voice conversation that picks the next question from the candidate's answers, with an optional avatar. Its Voice Screening Agent runs separate screening calls by phone or browser. NTRVSTA runs live interviews as a video avatar or as audio only.
Which one has a published bias audit?
NTRVSTA has an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit of its AI interviews by Asenion, finalized on October 20, 2026. Phenom did not publish an LL144 audit on the pages we checked. Phenom does publish security certifications, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
How long does each one take to set up?
NTRVSTA says setup takes a few days, depending on how much you customize. Phenom does not publish a typical rollout time on the pages we checked. A full platform with a career site, CRM and marketplace usually involves more teams, so ask for a project plan.
