SeekOut vs NTRVSTA: a sourcing powerhouse or an AI recruiter that runs the whole req?

SeekOut is built around search. Carolina is built around the requisition. Here's what that means for your team, including where SeekOut wins.

Full disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this SeekOut vs NTRVSTA comparison, and we make one of the two products. We limited every SeekOut fact to what SeekOut and its official press releases publish, with links at the end.

SeekOut is one of the best-known names in AI sourcing, and it now calls itself "the agentic AI recruiting platform." NTRVSTA is agentic AI for sourcing, recruiting and hiring too, so the overlap is real. The difference is where each one puts its weight: SeekOut on search and outreach across a huge profile index, NTRVSTA on carrying a role from sourcing through a live interview to a booked panel.

The short answer

Choose SeekOut if your recruiters live in search: you want 1B+ profiles, diversity filters, ATS rediscovery and AI-drafted email campaigns, and you have a separate plan for interviews and scheduling. Choose NTRVSTA if you want Carolina to work the requisition end to end inside your current ATS, adding SMS and WhatsApp outreach, ranked resumes with reasons, live adaptive AI interviews and calendar booking. SeekOut has the bigger published database and longer enterprise track record. NTRVSTA publishes all of its plan prices and an NYC LL144 audit for its AI interviews.

How NTRVSTA works

Carolina starts from the open role. It sources candidates and runs outreach by email, SMS and WhatsApp, so people who never check a recruiting inbox still hear from you. Inbound and sourced resumes are scored and ranked against the job, with a written reason for each placement, which makes it easier to challenge a ranking you disagree with.

The step most sourcing tools hand off is where Carolina keeps going. It runs a live AI interview, as a video avatar or audio, that changes its follow-up questions and difficulty with each answer, for engineers and non-technical roles alike, at any hour and in multiple languages. Hiring managers get a score breakdown, video snippets and a shareable report. Then Carolina books interviews and panels through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly. Ask it about the pipeline in plain English, or read its morning digest in Slack or Teams.

Every action has a guardrail you set: suggest, ask first or auto. Offers and compensation changes always wait for a person. Carolina connects to your ATS (for example Greenhouse or Workday) rather than replacing it, and setup takes a few days depending on customization.

How SeekOut works

SeekOut says its platform searches 1B+ profiles together with your ATS, so recruiters can rediscover past applicants alongside new people. Its AI agents build a rubric for the role, find matching candidates, and draft and send personalized multi-touch email campaigns. SeekOut stresses that recruiters approve or adjust at every critical step. An "AI Coworker" is in early access.

For inbound applicants, SeekOut sells an Applicant Evaluation and AI Screening add-on. It scores each applicant against the role rubric, flags fraud signals and, according to the homepage, runs video screening interviews. SeekOut doesn't describe that interview's format, so ask for a demo of it if interviews matter to you.

SeekOut shows a SOC 2 Type II badge and a GDPR badge, says its records are ready for EEOC and OFCCP reviews, and names customers such as Microsoft, Johnson and Johnson, Netflix and Cisco. In April 2026 it named Sean Thompson CEO, effective May 4, 2026, with founder Anoop Gupta moving to Executive Chairman.

When SeekOut is the better choice

  • Sourcing is the job. You want the deepest search filters, diversity filters and market intelligence across a very large profile index.
  • You want low-cost search seats: Sourcing Core covers three seats for $149 a month billed annually.
  • You already have an interview process you like and only need the top of the funnel filled.
  • Your procurement team requires a SOC 2 Type II report and big-name enterprise references.

Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we don't publish a profile database or the deep search filters that SeekOut is known for. We're newer and smaller, with no published customer case studies yet. We aren't an ATS or system of record. And if you'd rather have human recruiters running the search, a marketplace like Paraform or Dover suits you better.

Pricing compared

SeekOut publishes one price. Sourcing Core is $149 a month billed annually ($1,788 a year) or $179 month to month, with three seats, 500 contact credits a month and 1,000 exports. Sourcing, Sourcing + Integration and Full Recruiting Funnel (which adds AI screening and agentic workflows) are custom, billed annually.

Our full price list is on the pricing section:

  • Starter: $0 for one open role with 10 AI interviews and no card.
  • Team: $490/mo on annual billing, $590 on monthly. 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, up to 10 seats.
  • Scale: $1,490/mo on annual billing, $1,790 on monthly. 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
  • Enterprise and agency accounts: a per-hire or per-seat price, agreed with us directly.

An AI interview is one live session of up to 60 minutes. On Team with annual billing, a month of 60 interviews works out to about $8.17 per interview, with sourcing, outreach and scheduling included. The fair comparison is SeekOut's Full Recruiting Funnel quote against our Team or Scale plan, since that's where both products cover screening.

Who should pick which

  • If you mostly need to search a large profile index with fine filters, pick SeekOut.
  • If you want sourced candidates interviewed and booked without a second tool, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If candidates in your market answer text messages or WhatsApp faster than email, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you want to rediscover past applicants in your ATS alongside outside talent in one search, pick SeekOut.
  • If you need a published NYC LL144 audit for your AI interviews, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you want the lowest-cost seats for a sourcing team, pick SeekOut.

Questions

Is SeekOut cheaper than NTRVSTA?

It depends on what you buy. SeekOut's Sourcing Core plan is $149 a month billed annually for three seats, and its larger plans are custom quotes. NTRVSTA has a $0 Starter plan and a Team plan at $490 a month billed annually that includes sourcing, outreach, resume scoring, 60 AI interviews and scheduling. For search seats alone, SeekOut's entry plan costs less.

Does SeekOut run AI interviews?

SeekOut's homepage says its Applicant Evaluation and AI Screening add-on runs video screening interviews, but it doesn't describe the format. NTRVSTA runs live AI interviews, by video avatar or audio, that adapt to each answer, for technical and non-technical roles.

How big is SeekOut's database compared with NTRVSTA's?

SeekOut says it searches 1B+ profiles plus your ATS. NTRVSTA doesn't publish a profile database size. If deep search across a very large index is your main need, SeekOut is built for that.

Which one has a published bias audit?

SeekOut's homepage mentions regular third-party bias audits, with the latest in September 2025, without naming NYC Local Law 144. NTRVSTA publishes an NYC LL144 audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026, which covers our AI interviews only.
