Pin vs NTRVSTA: two AI recruiters, one difference that matters

Pin gets candidates onto your calendar. NTRVSTA's Carolina also interviews them. Here is how the two AI recruiters differ, and who each one suits.

Full disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this Pin vs NTRVSTA page, and we build one of the two products in it. What we say about Pin comes from Pin's own website and blog, linked in Sources.

The short answer

Choose Pin if your bottleneck is finding and reaching candidates: it says it matches from 850M+ profiles, runs sequences from your own inbox and books calls, on a free plan or affordable per-seat pricing. Choose NTRVSTA if you also want the first-round interview done for you: Carolina sources and runs outreach too, then scores resumes, runs a live AI interview and schedules the next round inside your ATS. In short, Pin hands you a booked call; NTRVSTA hands you an interviewed, scored candidate.

How NTRVSTA works

Carolina, NTRVSTA's AI Head of Talent, starts where Pin does: you open a role, and it looks for people who fit, then reaches them by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Every resume, sourced or inbound, gets a score and a rank against the job, with the reasoning written out.

The difference is what happens next. Instead of booking a screening call for a recruiter, Carolina invites the candidate to a live AI interview they can take at any hour, by video avatar or audio. It adjusts questions and difficulty to each answer, covers technical and non-technical roles, and runs in multiple languages. Your team gets a score breakdown, video snippets and a shareable report, and Carolina books the human round with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly. You can ask it about the pipeline in plain English, and it sends a morning digest in Slack or Teams.

Guardrails are set per action: suggest, ask first or auto. Offers and compensation changes always wait for a person. Results go into your systems, from Greenhouse and Ashby to Workday, and setup takes a few days, depending on customization.

How Pin works

Pin's headline promise is "from job description to booked interviews." You give it a job title or description, and Pin says it researches the company, builds the search criteria, and matches candidates from 850M+ profiles with an explained fit score for you to approve. It then sends personalized multi-step sequences from your own Gmail or Outlook, answers replies from a knowledge base (asking you in Slack when a new question comes up), and offers times from your calendar. Pin says each step can be switched between hands-on, co-pilot and full autopilot.

Pin says 10,000+ recruiters at 2,000+ companies use it, and it lists SOC 2 Type 2, with SSO and SCIM on Enterprise. One status note: Pin's LinkedIn company page and its CEO's profile were removed from LinkedIn in September 2026. Pin's CEO wrote on September 16, 2026 that the product is fully operational, does not depend on LinkedIn, and that Pin is working with LinkedIn to resolve its concerns.

When Pin is the better choice

  • Sourcing reach is the whole job: you want a large published profile pool and multi-step sequences, and your recruiters will run every screen themselves.
  • You want LinkedIn as a step in your outreach.
  • You are a solo recruiter or small agency and want per-seat pricing from $100 a month.
  • You need a published SOC 2 Type 2 claim from your vendor today.

Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we are newer and smaller than Pin, without published customer case studies yet. We don't publish a proprietary profile database, and dedicated sourcing tools like Pin publish large databases and deeper search filters. We are not an ATS. And if you want human recruiters doing the search, a recruiter marketplace fits better.

Pricing compared

Pin publishes per-seat prices. The free plan includes 5 contact credits a week, one job, one AI agent and email-only sequences. Solo is $100 per user per month (annual only), Professional is $135 per user per month annually or $179 monthly, and Enterprise is custom with ATS integration included.

NTRVSTA's plans, from our pricing section, are priced by AI interviews rather than contacts:

  • Starter: $0. One open role, 10 AI interviews, no card.
  • Team: $490 a month billed annually ($590 monthly). 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, up to 10 seats.
  • Scale: $1,490 a month billed annually ($1,790 monthly). 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
  • Enterprise and agency plans: per hire or per seat, on request.

At full use, annual Team is about $8.17 per interview and annual Scale about $5.96 per interview. Each interview is a live session of up to 60 minutes. A fair comparison sets Pin's seat cost plus your recruiters' screening hours against NTRVSTA's plan.

Who should pick which

  • If your recruiters have time to screen and you only need more candidates in the funnel, pick Pin.
  • If screening calls are eating your week, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If candidates in your market answer on WhatsApp, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you want LinkedIn steps in your sequences, pick Pin.
  • If you hire in NYC and want a published bias audit for the interview step, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you are a solo recruiter watching every dollar, start with Pin's free or Solo plan.

Questions

Does Pin interview candidates?

No. Pin sources, runs outreach, answers replies and books interviews on your calendar for a person to run. NTRVSTA adds a live, adaptive AI interview by video avatar or audio, with a score breakdown and video snippets for your team.

Is Pin still working after its LinkedIn page was removed?

Pin says yes. Pin's company page and its CEO's profile were removed from LinkedIn in September 2026. In a post on September 16, 2026, Pin's CEO said the product is fully operational, does not depend on LinkedIn, and that Pin is working with LinkedIn to resolve its concerns.

Which has the bigger candidate database?

Pin says it matches candidates from 850M+ profiles across dozens of data sources in North America and Europe. NTRVSTA does not publish a database size. If raw sourcing reach is your main need, that difference matters.

Do both have free plans?

Yes. Pin has a free forever plan with one job and email-only sequences. NTRVSTA's Starter plan is $0 for one open role and 10 AI interviews, with no card required.
