We wrote this, so here's the disclosure up front: NTRVSTA is one of the two products on this page. Paradox AI, best known for its Olivia assistant, is described here only through Paradox's own site and Workday's announcement of the acquisition, all linked under Sources.
The short answer
Paradox and NTRVSTA solve different problems, and plenty of teams could use both. Choose Paradox if you hire hourly and frontline workers at volume and want Olivia to handle apply, screening questions and interview scheduling over chat and SMS, especially if you already run Workday. Choose NTRVSTA if you want the first-round interview itself done by an AI that talks with candidates live, as an avatar or by audio, and adapts to each answer. NTRVSTA publishes its prices; Paradox doesn't.
Side by side: Paradox AI (Olivia) vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
NTRVSTA's job starts where an applicant becomes a candidate worth talking to. AI resume scoring ranks everyone against the job description and surfaces the top of the stack. Those candidates get a link and take a live interview whenever suits them, with an AI interviewer that appears as a video avatar or speaks as audio.
The interview is a real conversation, not a form. Questions get harder or easier based on how each answer lands. Behavioral questions follow STAR, a hint system shows how people take guidance, and technical roles can include coding exams or a system-design whiteboard. You get a score breakdown for technical skills, English proficiency and communication, plus video clips of the moments that matter and a report you can forward.
How Paradox works
Paradox says Olivia runs candidate conversations over chat and SMS. She handles applications, screening questions, interview scheduling, hiring events, onboarding and surveys, mostly for high-volume and frontline roles. Paradox also sells a Conversational ATS and a career-site builder, and it offers recorded video interviews. It says Olivia detects 100+ languages and translates messages automatically.
Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on October 1, 2025, per Workday's press release. Staffing Industry Analysts reported that Workday's 8-K showed about $1.0 billion in cash, though the completion release itself gave no price. Paradox still runs its own branded site, which doesn't redirect to Workday, and its login lives at olivia.paradox.ai.
Paradox names customers such as Chipotle, 7-Eleven, General Motors, Medtronic and Tractor Supply. On security, it says it follows "internationally recognized security standards" without naming them on the homepage, and it commits to transparent, explainable and fair AI. We didn't find a published NYC Local Law 144 audit.
When Paradox is the better choice
- You hire hundreds of hourly workers a month and the bottleneck is scheduling, not interview quality.
- Your candidates live on their phones and expect to apply and confirm shifts by text.
- You run Workday or SAP SuccessFactors and want a recruiting assistant that already connects to it.
- You'd like a conversational ATS and a career site from the same vendor, not a tool that sits beside your ATS.
That last point matters for us. NTRVSTA never replaces your ATS, our native connector list is short, and we have no public API yet. We also don't do SMS apply or chat scheduling, which is exactly where Paradox (or Fountain) is strong. If you'd rather have human interviewers, a Karat-style service fits better. And as a newer company, we have fewer published enterprise case studies than a Workday-owned vendor.
Pricing compared
Paradox doesn't publish pricing, and its site leads to a demo request. You'll need a custom quote before you can compare cost per hire.
NTRVSTA's numbers are on our pricing section. Credits burn per minute: 1 for audio, 3 for avatar.
- Free Demo, $0: 50 credits and one interview at a time.
- Starter, $299/mo: 1,500 credits, roughly 30 interviews, 3 at once.
- Growth, $699/mo: 4,000 credits, roughly 80 interviews, 5 at once.
- Scale, $1,999/mo: 12,500 credits, roughly 250 interviews, 15 at once, with an SLA.
- Enterprise: custom credits, SSO/SAML, a dedicated CSM and on-prem.
At Growth volume, the cost lands near $8.74 per interview ($0.35 a minute). An audio screen of 25 minutes is 25 credits, and an avatar screen of the same length is 75. For hourly roles at thousands of hires a year, run that math carefully, because a short chat screen may be all you need.
Who should pick which
- If you're staffing new store openings and need text-to-apply with automatic scheduling, pick Paradox.
- If you're hiring engineers, analysts or account executives and want a real first-round interview, pick NTRVSTA.
- If Workday is your system of record and you want one vendor family, pick Paradox.
- If your legal team asks for a published NYC Local Law 144 audit, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you hire both hourly crews and salaried staff, consider Paradox for the frontline flow and NTRVSTA for salaried interviews.

Questions
Is Paradox owned by Workday now?
Yes. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on October 1, 2025. Paradox still runs its own branded site at paradox.ai, and Olivia logins stay at olivia.paradox.ai.
Does Paradox Olivia conduct interviews?
Olivia screens candidates and schedules interviews over chat and SMS, and Paradox offers recorded video interviews. Paradox doesn't describe Olivia as a real-time voice or avatar interviewer. NTRVSTA runs the live interview itself.
Can I use Paradox and NTRVSTA together?
They cover different steps, so some teams could. We haven't published a native Paradox integration, so check how candidates would move between the two in your ATS before you plan on it.
Which is better for hourly hiring?
For high-volume hourly roles with shift scheduling and text-to-apply, Paradox is built for it and NTRVSTA isn't. NTRVSTA fits roles where a deeper, adaptive interview is worth the extra minutes.
If your next hire needs a real interview rather than a chat, book a 20-minute demo or sit a sample interview as a candidate. Audit details are on our compliance page.
