Best AI recruiting software for staffing agencies in 2026

Eight AI tools agencies use to source, screen and submit candidates faster, ranked for staffing workflows rather than corporate HR.

Disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this guide, and our AI interviewer is one of the eight tools in it. We ranked it fifth, because most of the tools ahead of it were built around staffing workflows and the ATS systems agencies use. Every claim about another vendor comes from that vendor's own pages, linked at the end.

TL;DR

The best AI recruiting software for staffing agencies plugs into the agency ATS, calls or texts candidates on its own, and reactivates the database you already paid to build. For voice screening at staffing scale, start with ConverzAI, Alex and HeyMilo. For sourcing, add Juicebox. For deeper technical first rounds you can share with clients, look at NTRVSTA.

  • Best for voice screening and database reactivation on a staffing ATS: ConverzAI
  • Best for fraud, ID and proctoring checks in the first round: Alex
  • Best for voice, video and SMS screening with broad ATS coverage: HeyMilo
  • Best for shareable, adaptive interviews when placing technical talent: NTRVSTA (us)

What actually matters when choosing recruiting software for staffing agencies

Agencies buy differently from corporate HR teams. You're paid on placements, you recruit for many clients at once, and your ATS (often Bullhorn, JobDiva, Avionté or Ceipal) is the system of record for every recruiter's desk. Any AI tool that can't read from and write back to that ATS creates double entry, and recruiters will stop using it within a month. Check the integration first.

Second, look at your database. Most agencies sit on years of candidates who have gone quiet. Tools that match past candidates to new orders and reach out by phone or text can fill roles before you post a job. Third, look at what you send the client. A score alone won't win a submittal. A transcript, a short summary and a clip of the candidate explaining their work give the account manager something to sell.

Finally, fraud has become a real cost, especially for remote technical roles. Ask each vendor what it does about proxy interviews, deepfakes and stolen identities. For clients hiring in New York City, note that NYC's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection says Local Law 144 covers employment agencies as well as employers. Our Local Law 144 guide has the details. This is not legal advice.

1. ConverzAI

ConverzAI built its Virtual Recruiter for staffing firms, from enterprise to small agencies. It says the agent engages candidates by phone, text and email, can lead interviews autonomously, and reactivates candidates already in the ATS by matching them to open roles, then writes results back. Its integration list is a staffing stack: Avionté, Bullhorn, Ceipal, Erecruit, JobDiva, LaborEdge, TargetRecruit, TempWorks, Tracker and Salesforce. ConverzAI lists SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA, and raised a $16M Series A in February 2025. Pricing isn't published.

Best for: staffing agencies that want an AI voice recruiter working their existing database at scale.

2. Alex

Alex (formerly Apriora) says its AI recruiter scores applications for fraud risk, screens resumes, runs an always-on first-round interview by phone or video, and books qualified people onto calendars. It also rediscovers past candidates in the ATS. Alex adds real-time proctoring and an ID check that matches a government ID to a live selfie, which matters for remote placements. It says it supports 30 languages and 33+ ATS integrations, and lists Randstad and Tier4 Group among its customers. Pricing isn't published.

Best for: agencies placing remote talent where identity and interview fraud are real risks.

3. HeyMilo

HeyMilo says its AI agents screen candidates through two-way voice and video interviews plus SMS and forms, 24/7, in 20+ languages. It scores answers against your criteria with written reasoning, auto-scores resumes, and adds ID verification and cheat flags. Its ATS list covers both staffing and corporate systems, including Bullhorn, Avionté, JobDiva, Greenhouse, Workday and Salesforce. Pricing isn't published.

Best for: agencies that want multichannel screening and need to sync with more than one ATS.

4. Tenzo

Tenzo's AI recruiter, Morgan, runs voice AI interviews by phone or video around the clock, plus resume review, fraud detection, scheduling and ATS candidate rediscovery. Tenzo says it supports 40+ languages and 57+ two-way ATS integrations, and lists Agilus Work Solutions and Synergie Canada as customers. It also says a de-biasing layer removes protected-class information from transcripts before scoring. Pricing is a custom quote.

Best for: agencies running high-volume or multilingual desks.

5. NTRVSTA (us)

NTRVSTA is strongest for agencies that place technical and professional talent. Its AI interviewer runs a live interview as a video avatar or by audio, and adapts questions and difficulty to each answer. The exam library covers programming languages, frameworks such as React and Node.js, DevOps tools and soft skills, and system-design interviews come with an interactive whiteboard. Each interview produces a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments, and a shareable candidate report you can attach to a submittal. AI resume scoring ranks applicants against the job description.

Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: it's a screening layer, not an ATS, and its native ATS list (Lever and others) is short. Confirm your agency ATS with us before buying, because staffing systems like Bullhorn aren't on our published list. The public API is coming soon. NTRVSTA isn't built for high-volume hourly staffing with SMS apply. Pricing is public: Starter $299/mo (about 30 interviews), Growth $699/mo (about 80), Scale $1,999/mo (about 250).

Best for: IT and professional staffing firms that want a deep, adaptive first round and a report the client can read.

6. Glider AI

Glider AI is heavily used by staffing and contingent-workforce firms. It lists an AI recruiter, AI voice phone screens, AI and one-way video interviews, live coding, skills assessments, ID verification and AI proctoring. Its integrations include Bullhorn, Beeline, Magnit, JobDiva, Lever and Workday, which covers both agency and MSP systems. Findem announced a definitive agreement to acquire Glider AI on March 19, 2026, and the Glider brand continues inside Findem. Pricing isn't published.

Best for: staffing firms and MSPs that need skills validation and proctoring for contingent workers.

7. Juicebox

Juicebox (also known as PeopleGPT) is a sourcing tool, not an interviewer. Recruiters describe a role in plain language and get a ranked pool from 800M+ profiles, plus AI-written outreach. Juicebox Agents can source in the background. It integrates with Bullhorn, Crelate and Recruiterflow among 40+ ATS, with ATS sync on the Business plan. There's a free plan, and Starter runs $99 to $119 per seat a month.

Best for: agency recruiters who need fresh candidates for a new order today.

8. Manatal

Manatal is an inexpensive ATS that uses AI to recommend and score candidates against job descriptions and parse resumes. A paid AI Interviewer add-on runs asynchronous video screens with up to 10 set questions. Plans start at $15 per user a month billed annually, with a 14-day free trial. Manatal also lists HeyMilo and Hireflix as video partners, so you can add a stronger screen later.

Best for: small and new agencies that need an affordable ATS with basic AI built in.

Questions

What should staffing agencies look for in AI recruiting software?

Start with your ATS. Most agencies run on Bullhorn, JobDiva, Avionté or similar, so confirm a two-way sync before anything else. Then look at database reactivation, phone and text screening, fraud and ID checks, and how easily you can send a candidate summary to a client.

Can AI screening help with fake or fraudulent candidates?

It can help. Alex says it scores applications for fraud risk and matches a government ID to a live selfie. HeyMilo and Tenzo list fraud and cheat detection, and Glider AI offers ID verification and proctoring. No tool catches everything, so keep a human check before you submit someone.

Will clients accept AI-screened candidates?

Most clients care about the quality of the shortlist and the evidence behind it. Share the transcript, scores and key moments with each submittal, and tell clients how the screen works. If a client hires in New York City, check whether its Local Law 144 obligations apply to your screen.

Is there AI recruiting software for small agencies?

Yes. Manatal's ATS starts at $15 per user a month billed annually, and Juicebox has a free sourcing plan. For interviews, NTRVSTA's plans start at $299/mo with a $0 Free Demo. Many staffing-focused voice tools quote custom prices.
