Full disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this list, and we're one of the seven Ribbon alternatives on it. Every fact about other tools comes from their own sites or official announcements, linked under Sources.
Ribbon is a real AI interviewer: it says it runs two-way voice or video interviews that adapt to each answer, on any phone, 24/7, mostly for frontline roles. So why look at Ribbon alternatives and competitors now? The main reason is structural. On October 23, 2026, Dayforce announced a definitive agreement to acquire Ribbon and fold it into Dayforce Agentic Recruiting. The deal hadn't closed when we checked, and neither company has said what happens to Ribbon's 60+ ATS connections afterward. Other teams want published pricing (Ribbon's pricing page returned a 404) or deeper technical interviews. If you run Dayforce, or Ribbon already works for your frontline hiring, staying may be smart.
Ribbon alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
NTRVSTA and Ribbon both run live, two-way AI interviews that react to what the candidate says. Where we differ is depth and role mix. Our interviewer, a video avatar or an audio voice, raises or lowers difficulty with each answer, and it draws on an exam library that covers programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript and more), frameworks, DevOps and AI/ML tools, plus soft skills. System-design rounds come with an interactive whiteboard. For non-technical roles, it asks STAR behavioral questions and can give hints so you see how a candidate uses help. AI resume scoring ranks every applicant against your job description first.
Our prices are public, and our NYC Local Law 144 audit is on our compliance page. The honest gaps: we integrate with Lever and others, a far shorter list than Ribbon's, there's no public API yet, and we aren't built for text-to-apply hourly flows with chat scheduling. For a feature-by-feature view, see NTRVSTA vs Ribbon.
Best for: engineering and professional hiring that needs an adaptive first round at a visible price.
2. Fountain
Fountain is the closest match if you chose Ribbon for frontline work. It's a full hiring platform for hourly teams (ATS, CRM, sourcing, onboarding and shift scheduling), and its voice AI interviewer, Anna, runs structured interviews by phone or browser. Fountain's support docs say Anna asks clarifying questions and adapts to answers by default, then returns a score, summary, transcript and recording for a human to review. Fountain says it's SOC 2 compliant and connects to 40+ systems. Prices aren't published.
Best for: hourly employers that would rather replace their ATS than add another tool to it.
3. Paradox
Paradox went through a deal like Ribbon's. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on October 1, 2025, and paradox.ai still runs as its own brand. Its assistant, Olivia, handles applications, screening questions, scheduling, events and onboarding over chat and SMS, and Paradox says Olivia detects 100+ languages. It doesn't describe a live voice or avatar interviewer, so it replaces Ribbon's logistics more than its interview.
Best for: high-volume frontline employers, particularly those already on Workday.
4. HeyMilo
HeyMilo is a direct peer. It says its AI agents run two-way voice and video interviews, plus SMS and form screening, 24/7 in 20+ languages, scoring answers against your criteria with written reasoning. It auto-scores resumes, adds ID verification and cheat flags, and syncs reports back to a long ATS list that includes Workday, UKG, iCIMS, Bullhorn and JobDiva. HeyMilo shows a SOC 2 badge and says it has third-party bias audits, though it doesn't name NYC Local Law 144. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: staffing firms and volume employers that want Ribbon-style screening with no acquisition pending.
5. Classet
Classet keeps things simple for hourly hiring. Its AI recruiter, Joy, calls applicants for a first phone interview using your questions and must-haves, answers their questions, then handles scheduling and follow-ups by text and email. Each call is labeled Strong, Good, Borderline or Weak with quoted evidence, and Classet says humans make every decision. Unlike Ribbon, it publishes pricing: Hiring Hub starts at $249/mo billed annually ($349 month to month) with 50 completed interviews, and every account gets 20 free interviews. Classet says Warden AI runs monthly bias audits.
Best for: trades, logistics and other hourly employers who want a fast phone screen at a known price.
6. Humanly
Humanly has grown by acquisition, buying Qualifi, Sprockets, HourWork and others, and now sells a suite that spans AI recruiting, AI interviews over chat, voice and video, a notetaker, a talent CRM and an ATS. It says its AI Interviewer asks every candidate the same structured questions, which is more consistent but less adaptive than Ribbon's approach. Dayforce is on Humanly's published ATS list, alongside Workday, UKG and iCIMS.
Best for: frontline employers that want engagement, screening and scheduling from one vendor.
7. Tenzo
Tenzo says its AI recruiter, Morgan, runs 24/7 voice interviews by phone or video, reviews resumes, detects fraud, schedules and rediscovers past candidates in your ATS. It lists 40+ languages, 57+ two-way ATS integrations and SOC 2 Type 2, and it says a de-biasing layer removes protected-class details from transcripts before scoring. Candidates can opt out of the AI interview. Pricing is a custom quote.
Best for: multilingual and staffing teams that want fraud checks and scheduling bundled with the interview.
When to stay with Ribbon

- Your hiring is mostly warehouse, retail, hospitality or healthcare roles, and candidates like interviewing from any phone.
- You use sourcing, rediscovery and SMS, WhatsApp or email outreach alongside the interview.
- You value Ribbon's published LL144 audit and its integrity monitoring for off-screen activity.
