NTRVSTA wrote this HireVue vs Harver comparison. We make a competing product, so we only use facts from HireVue's and Harver's own sites and public news, and we include a third option at the end.
Most buyers searching HireVue vs Harver run large hiring programs and care about predictive validity, adverse impact and audit trails. Both vendors sell science-backed assessments and video interviews. They differ in how far each lets AI make judgments, and that choice affects your process, your candidates and your legal review.
The short answer
Go with HireVue if you want an AI to interview candidates by voice and score their answers, with games, skills tests and coding challenges in the same platform. Go with Harver if you hire in volume for contact centers, retail or hospitality and want validated assessments (including pymetrics games), automated matching and interview booking, with people scoring the video interviews. Both publish detailed responsible-AI material. Neither publishes prices.
Side by side: HireVue vs Harver
Where HireVue is stronger
If you want automation in the interview itself, HireVue goes further. Its voice AI Interviewer asks the questions, probes when an answer is vague, and scores each response against criteria it built from your job description, then shows the reasoning. It runs at any hour in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, among others. Harver, by its own description, keeps the scoring of video interviews with human evaluators.
HireVue's range also reaches professional and technical roles more directly. Live video with a co-pilot for Zoom and Teams helps hiring managers in later rounds, and CodeVue covers coding challenges. On compliance it lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and FedRAMP, says its audits cover NYC Local Law 144, and names DCI Consulting Group as an external bias auditor.
Where Harver is stronger
Harver's core is the assessment, and it has assembled a lot of them: pymetrics behavioral games, spoken-language tests for customer-facing roles, and AI PREVAIL, an assessment of AI readiness. Checkster adds automated reference checks. For a contact-center or retail program filling the same roles over and over, that mix supports matching people to roles on measured traits rather than interview polish.
Harver is also clear about where it draws the line on AI. It says its video interview scoring uses human evaluators, with "no automated decision-making or facial/micro-expression analysis", and its site puts it simply: the data informs the decision, your leaders make it. Harver says it complies with NYC Local Law 144, reports independent LL144 bias audits on its security page, validates models against the four-fifths rule and holds ISO 27001. Published customers include Brinker International, Albert Heijn and KellyConnect.
Pricing compared
You won't find a price list from either company. HireVue's pricing page offers a demo and a "Calculate your ROI" link but no plan names. Harver's site offers an ROI calculator instead of prices. With assessment vendors, cost usually depends on applicant volume, the number of assessments and the modules you add, so get each quote broken out line by line.
Our HireVue pricing and Harver pricing guides list the questions to ask before you sign, including how assessment volume, reference checks and integrations are billed.

A third option: NTRVSTA
We'll be straight: if a validated assessment library is what you're buying, we're not the answer. Carolina, our agentic AI recruiter, doesn't sell games or psychometric tests. It fits teams whose problem is a slow, manual funnel for salaried or technical roles that sit alongside a volume program.
- Sources candidates and contacts them by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- Scores and ranks resumes with a written reason for each.
- Runs adaptive live AI interviews and books panels on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly.
- Works inside Workday, iCIMS, UKG and the rest of your stack; plans start at $0 on our pricing page.
