Workstream Pricing (2026): Plans, Costs and What You Actually Pay

Workstream names its plans and lists every feature, but every price says "Get in touch". Here's what each tier adds and what to ask.

NTRVSTA wrote this page. We make a competing product, so we stick to Workstream's own published pricing and say where it isn't published.

The short answer: Workstream pricing in 2026

Workstream pricing is not published. Its pricing page lists four plans (Hiring, Essentials, All-in-one and Premium) plus three add-ons, and every one of them shows "Get in touch" instead of a price. The page doesn't say whether Workstream bills per location, per employee or otherwise, and it lists no free trial. The one number on the page is a promotion: up to 8 months of payroll free when you switch, with terms that apply but aren't shown.

What you get on each Workstream plan

Each tier includes everything in the one before it. Features below are from Workstream's pricing page as of November 1, 2026.

Workstream also sells a service option where its own "AI experts" run payroll and HR for you, and it names five agents: Voice AI for applicant calls and first-round screens, Video AI for recorded answers with a highlight reel for managers, Payroll AI, Compliance, and AskAI for plain-English reports. Whether the done-for-you service changes the price is not published.

What drives the price

Workstream's page makes the main lever plain even without numbers: the tier. Moving from Hiring to All-in-one turns an ATS purchase into a payroll and HR purchase, which is a different budget line for most operators. Add-ons let you bolt on scheduling, benefits or compliance without moving up a tier.

Levers that commonly apply to hourly workforce platforms in general (not stated by Workstream):

  • Headcount or locations. Payroll and HR software for hourly teams is often priced per employee or per site.
  • Payroll runs and tax filing. Full-service payroll may add per-run or per-state costs.
  • Software versus service. Having a vendor's team run payroll for you usually costs more than running it yourself.
  • Promotions. Free months reduce first-year cost but not the steady-state price, so compare year two as well.

Questions to ask Workstream before you buy

  1. What is the billing unit for my plan: location, active employee, hire or a flat fee?
  2. What are the terms behind "up to 8 months of payroll free", and what do I pay in month 9?
  3. Is VoiceAI screening priced per call, or included in the Hiring plan?
  4. Does the done-for-you payroll and HR service change the price, and is it optional?
  5. What does each add-on cost on its own?
  6. Which POS systems does payroll connect to, and is there a setup fee?
  7. What is the contract length, and how do we export employee and payroll records if we leave?

Cheaper or simpler options than Workstream

If you only need the hiring part of Workstream, a narrower tool may be simpler. These are the usual comparisons:

  • Classet. An AI phone recruiter that calls applicants as they apply, without payroll or HR. Starter is $249 a month billed annually or $349 month-to-month for 50 completed interviews, and Scale is $999 a month annually for 250. See Classet pricing.
  • XOR. Charges $500 per hire for blue-collar and hourly roles with a $5,000 minimum, according to XOR, which suits operators who want to pay only for filled roles. See XOR pricing.
  • Fountain. A frontline hiring platform with sourcing, onboarding, shift scheduling and a voice AI interviewer; pricing is tailored to the products you pick and not published. See Fountain pricing.
  • Paradox. Conversational apply and scheduling for franchise and frontline employers, now owned by Workday; custom pricing only. See Paradox (Olivia) pricing.

Honestly, NTRVSTA is a poor fit for most Workstream buyers: we're not an ATS, payroll or HR system, and we aren't built around text-to-apply hourly hiring. We're agentic AI for sourcing, recruiting and hiring that works inside the systems you already run, and our plans are listed on our pricing section if you also fill salaried roles. You can book a demo to check.
