Talview sells a family of AI agents for hiring and testing: Ivy, an AI interviewer; Alvy, an AI proctoring agent; Verity for identity checks; and live interview rooms. Much of its base is exam and certification bodies as well as employers. Talview pricing is quote-only, but its pricing page explains the model, which helps you estimate before you ask.
The short answer on Talview pricing
Talview does not publish prices. It uses custom, unit-based pricing: each feature you choose has a unit, you pay for what you use, and the quote is sized by your annual candidate volume. Expect a minimum commitment of roughly 150 to 200 candidates. Microsoft customers can pay with Azure credits, and there's no free trial, only a walkthrough or a pilot that may be charged above 10 candidates.
What you get on each Talview plan
Talview has no named tiers. Its pricing form lets you pick individual features or bundled packages from the products below. Descriptions come from Talview's own site.
Talview also lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and WCAG 2.1, integrations with SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Microsoft Teams, Moodle and Canvas, and sells through the Azure Marketplace and an SAP partner listing.
What drives the price
Talview names its own levers, which is more than most quote-only vendors do:
- Features chosen. Every feature carries a unit, so adding proctoring or verification to Ivy adds units.
- Candidate volume. The quote form asks for candidates per year in bands: under 200, 200 to 1,000, 1,000 to 5,000, and over 5,000.
- Minimum commitment. Typically about 150 to 200 candidates, so very small programs still pay for that floor.
- Bundles. Talview prices individual features and bundled packages; a bundle may lower the per-unit rate.
- Payment route. Azure credits can fund the purchase if your company already has them.
General levers that apply to most vendors in this space: contract term, integration with your ATS or learning platform, the number of languages you deploy in, and whether a pilot's cost is credited toward the full contract.
Questions to ask Talview before you buy
- How many units does one Ivy interview use, and does that change with interview length or language?
- If we add Alvy or Verity to Ivy interviews, how many extra units per candidate does that cost?
- Is our minimum counted in candidates invited, candidates started or candidates completed?
- What do unused units do at the end of the term: expire, roll over or get credited?
- If we run a paid pilot above 10 candidates, is that fee credited against the annual contract?
- Is the Workday or SAP SuccessFactors integration included, or a separate setup charge?
- Talview's candidate documentation describes face capture and session recording. How long is that data kept, and can we set the retention period?
Cheaper or simpler options than Talview
Whether these are cheaper depends on your volume, but each publishes a price you can compare to a Talview quote. If proctoring and identity verification are the main reasons you're looking at Talview, few of these replace that.
- CodeSignal: Build is $79 a month billed annually (60 credits a year) and Grow is $479 a month billed annually (420 credits). Includes AI Interviewers and AI proctoring with ID verification on Build, per CodeSignal. Strongest for technical and go-to-market roles.
- Interviewer.AI: $199 a month for AI-scored one-way video, $399 for avatar interviews with adaptive follow-ups. Lighter on proctoring.
- TestGorilla: free plan, Core from $215 a month and Plus from $520 a month billed annually, with AI interviews on Plus.
- HireVue: also quote-only, with an AI voice interviewer and assessments. Worth comparing quotes side by side.
- NTRVSTA (us): Starter $0 for one role and 10 AI interviews, Team $490 a month and Scale $1,490 a month, both billed annually. Live adaptive AI interviews by avatar or audio, plus Carolina's sourcing and scheduling. We don't sell exam proctoring or ID verification, so for certification bodies Talview is the better fit.
