TestGorilla Pricing (2026): Plans, Costs and What You Actually Pay

Every published TestGorilla plan, how its credit system turns into a per-candidate cost, and the questions that settle the final number.

NTRVSTA wrote this page. We make a competing product, so we stick to TestGorilla's own published pricing and say where it isn't published.

TestGorilla pricing is one of the more transparent setups in pre-employment testing: there is a real free plan, two paid assessment tiers with listed starting prices, and a separately priced sourcing product. The catch is that the paid tiers are "from" prices built on credits, so your bill depends on how many candidates you test and which test types you use. Everything below comes from TestGorilla's pricing page as we read it on November 1, 2026.

The short answer: TestGorilla pricing in 2026

TestGorilla has a free plan, then Assessments Core from $215 a month and Assessments Plus from $520 a month, both billed annually. Paid plans run on a shared credit pool: most tests cost 1 credit per candidate, and customized AI interviews and job simulations cost 2. Gorilla Sourcing, its candidate search and outreach product, is priced per seat at $74 (Core) or $134 (Plus) a month, billed annually. The page says annual billing saves 25 percent but doesn't show monthly prices.

TestGorilla also says all plans are SOC 2 Type II compliant and GDPR compliant, so security paperwork shouldn't push you into a higher tier.

What drives the price

These are the levers TestGorilla itself names:

  • Credits per candidate. Your credit pool is shared across the account. A candidate who takes a standard test uses 1 credit, a customized AI interview or job simulation uses 2, and ID verification adds 1. A three-part assessment can use several credits for one person.
  • Tier features. ATS integrations, the job simulation library, custom tests and white-labeling sit on Plus only. If you need your ATS connected, Core isn't really an option.
  • The "from" figure. Core and Plus are starting prices. The page doesn't spell out what moves a quote above them, so assume credit volume does and confirm it.
  • Billing term. Listed prices are annual. Monthly billing exists but costs more, by TestGorilla's own 25 percent figure.
  • Sourcing seats. Gorilla Sourcing is billed per seat on top of any assessment plan, with invite caps per seat.

In general (not specific to TestGorilla), assessment buyers also run into completion rates (you pay when candidates start, even if they quit), annual minimums, and the cost of recruiter time spent reading results.

Questions to ask TestGorilla before you buy

  1. How many credits does the $215 or $520 starting price include, and what does the next step up cost?
  2. What happens when our credit pool runs out mid-year: top-up packs, an automatic upgrade, or a pause?
  3. Do unused paid credits roll over at renewal?
  4. What is the monthly price for the plan we want, if we don't commit to a year?
  5. Is a credit used when a candidate is invited, starts, or finishes?
  6. Which of our ATS integrations come on Plus, and are any extra-cost?
  7. Can we export candidate results in bulk if we leave?

Cheaper or simpler options than TestGorilla

TestGorilla's free plan is hard to beat for light use. If the paid tiers don't fit, these tools do a similar first-round job, with prices from their own sites:

  • CodeSignal: Build is $79 a month billed annually or $99 monthly, with extra credits at $20. A better match if most of your testing is for engineers.
  • CoderPad: Starter is $80 a month billed annually or $120 monthly, for coding screens and live pads rather than a broad skills library.
  • Hireflix: from $75 a month billed yearly for one-way video interviews, if what you mainly want is recorded answers instead of tests.
  • Vervoe: pricing not published. It focuses on job simulations graded by AI; see our Vervoe pricing page and the TestGorilla vs Vervoe comparison.

We should be clear about our own fit: if you came for a library of hundreds of skills tests, NTRVSTA isn't that product. It's agentic AI for sourcing, recruiting and hiring that runs live adaptive interviews inside your ATS. Our Starter plan is $0 for one open role with 10 AI interviews, and Team is $490 a month billed annually. Our full plans are on the pricing section of our homepage, and our TestGorilla comparison and list of TestGorilla alternatives go further. Questions

How much does TestGorilla cost per month?

TestGorilla lists Assessments Core from $215 a month and Assessments Plus from $520 a month, both billed annually. There is also a free plan with 10 credits a month. Gorilla Sourcing is separate, at $74 or $134 per seat per month billed annually.

Does TestGorilla have a free plan?

Yes. The free Assessments plan gives 10 credits a month that refresh monthly, unlimited use of 5 essential skills tests, limited use of 180+ other tests, resume scoring and limited AI interviews and video questions. The free Sourcing plan lets you browse and preview candidates but includes no invites.

How do TestGorilla credits work?

On paid Assessments plans, a skills test uses 1 credit per candidate from a shared account-wide pool. Customized AI interviews and job simulations use 2 credits per candidate, and ID verification uses 1. The pricing page does not say what happens when the pool runs out, so ask.

Can I pay for TestGorilla monthly?

The pricing page offers monthly or annual billing and says annual billing saves 25 percent, but it only shows the annual prices. Ask TestGorilla for the monthly figure on the plan you want.

Which TestGorilla plan includes ATS integrations?

Assessments Plus. TestGorilla lists ATS and API integrations on Plus, naming Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, BambooHR and Ashby among them. Core and Free do not list them.
