Full disclosure: this Weekday vs NTRVSTA comparison was written by the NTRVSTA team, so we have a stake in it. Facts about Weekday come only from weekday.works, and the links are listed under Sources at the end.
The short answer
Weekday and NTRVSTA both help you reach candidates who didn't apply, but they work from opposite ends. Choose Weekday if you hire tech talent, mostly in India, and want a marketplace team to email, WhatsApp and call the people you pick, or a recruiter you pay only when someone is hired. Choose NTRVSTA if you want an AI agent, Carolina, to run your own pipeline: source and contact candidates, score every resume, interview them live and book the panel, all inside the ATS you already use.
Side by side: Weekday vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
NTRVSTA starts from the jobs you already have open. Carolina sources candidates for each role and reaches out by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Inbound and sourced resumes are scored and ranked against the job, with a short explanation for each ranking, so a recruiter can see why someone landed on top and overrule it.
Candidates who move forward take a live AI interview whenever suits them, day or night. The interviewer appears as a video avatar or speaks as audio, adapts its questions to each answer, and works for engineering roles as well as sales, support or operations, in multiple languages. Hiring managers get a score breakdown, video snippets and a report they can share. Carolina then books the human round on your team's calendars, answers questions like "who is waiting on feedback?" in plain English, and sends a morning digest to Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Each action has a guardrail you set: suggest, ask first or auto. Offers and compensation changes always wait for a person. NTRVSTA connects to 70 systems, such as Greenhouse, Workday, Lever and Salesforce, and setup takes a few days depending on customization.
How Weekday works
Weekday's headline is "AI Outbound Recruiting for Passive Candidates." It says tens of thousands of people join its marketplace every day, giving it "a large and growing base of active professional profiles." It doesn't publish a count.
There are two ways to buy. With the Marketplace Subscription, aimed at larger teams, you use Weekday's AI smart filters to find candidates and mark the ones you like. Weekday then emails, WhatsApps and calls them, and passes back the interested ones. Weekday says its fine-tuned AI writes the emails and sends several follow-ups, and that someone from its team calls candidates who don't answer email or WhatsApp. With the contingency model, aimed at smaller teams, a dedicated senior recruiter finds candidates, gets them interested and schedules interviews with you.
Weekday also gives companies a free job post and a free AI resume screener, and gives job seekers a long list of free career tools. Its job listings are India-focused. It names Kunal Shah and Amit Singhal among its backers, and lists startups such as Urbanpiper, Enterpret and Fuze Finance as customers.
When Weekday is the better choice
- You're hiring engineers in India and want a ready pool of profiles to filter, rather than building outreach yourself.
- You want a human recruiter on the search and would rather pay only when someone joins.
- Phone calls to candidates matter to you; Weekday lists calling as an outreach channel, and we don't.
- You have no ATS yet and want candidates delivered, not a tool to run.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we don't publish a proprietary profile database, so if a large searchable pool is what you're buying, database-first tools serve you better. We're newer and smaller than many vendors, with no published customer case studies yet. NTRVSTA isn't an ATS or a system of record, so you need one alongside us. And if you want human recruiters doing the search, a marketplace like Weekday's contingency service, Paraform or Dover is a better match.
Pricing compared
Weekday's contingency fee is 15% of the hire's annual salary. It is free if no hire comes through Weekday and includes a 60-day replacement period. At a $120,000 salary, that fee would be $18,000 for one hire. The Marketplace Subscription is custom priced, from 10k to 150k credits, and Weekday says it doesn't offer free trials for it.
NTRVSTA's plans are listed in our pricing section:
- Starter: $0. One open role and 10 AI interviews, no card required.
- Team: $490/mo billed annually or $590 month to month. 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, up to 10 seats.
- Scale: $1,490/mo billed annually or $1,790 month to month. 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
- Enterprise and agencies: priced per hire or per seat.
An AI interview is one live session of up to 60 minutes, and annual billing saves about 17%. Used in full, Team works out to about $8.17 per interview and Scale to about $5.96 per interview. The two models suit different needs: a per-hire fee fits one or two critical searches, while a flat plan fits a team running many roles at once. Our cost-per-hire guide shows how to compare them.
Who should pick which
- If you want to filter a marketplace of mostly India-based tech profiles, pick Weekday.
- If you want every applicant scored and interviewed, not only outbound prospects, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you want to pay nothing until a hire is made, pick Weekday's contingency plan.
- If you need the agent to log its work in Workday, Greenhouse or another system you already use, pick NTRVSTA.
- If phone outreach by a person is part of what you want, pick Weekday.
- If you need a published NYC Local Law 144 audit for AI interviews, pick NTRVSTA.

Questions
What is Weekday (weekday.works)?
Weekday describes itself as AI outbound recruiting for passive candidates. It runs a candidate marketplace that it says tens of thousands of people join every day, and it contacts the candidates you pick by email, WhatsApp and phone. It also offers a contingency service where a dedicated senior recruiter runs the search.
How much does Weekday cost?
Weekday's contingency plan is 15% of the hire's annual salary, free if no hire is made, with a 60-day replacement period. The Marketplace Subscription is custom priced, with 10k to 150k credits, and Weekday says it does not offer free trials for the subscription.
Does Weekday run AI interviews?
Not on the pages we checked. In the contingency model a human recruiter schedules interview rounds with you, and the subscription delivers interested candidates. NTRVSTA's Carolina runs live AI interviews by video avatar or audio and then books the next round on your calendars.
Is Weekday only for hiring in India?
Weekday doesn't say it is India-only, but its job listings and free career tools are India-focused, and the customers it names are mostly startups. NTRVSTA sources and contacts candidates for any open role you set up, and works inside the ATS and HR systems you already use.
Curious how Carolina would handle one of your open roles? Book a demo and bring a real job description, or take a sample AI interview first. The audit report is on our compliance page.
