Full disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this Sense vs NTRVSTA page, and we compete with Sense. We kept every claim about Sense to what sensehq.com publishes, and you can check each one through the Sources list below.
The short answer
Sense and NTRVSTA are both agentic AI recruiters that work on top of your ATS instead of replacing it. Sense's strengths come from staffing and high-volume hiring: SMS and WhatsApp messaging, a conversational CRM, rediscovery of people already in your database, and phone screening. NTRVSTA's agent, Carolina, sources new candidates, scores resumes, and runs live interviews as a video avatar or by audio before it schedules. Choose Sense if you run a staffing desk or a big frontline program and want engagement at scale; choose NTRVSTA if you want deeper interviews, a published LL144 audit for them, and a lower starting price.
Side by side: Sense vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
NTRVSTA is agentic AI for sourcing, recruiting and hiring. Its agent, Carolina, connects to what you already run, from Workday or Greenhouse to staffing systems like Bullhorn, JobDiva, Avionté, Ceipal and TempWorks. Setup takes a few days, depending on customization. For each role, Carolina sources candidates and reaches out by email, SMS and WhatsApp, then scores and ranks every resume with a plain-language reason.
The interview is where NTRVSTA goes furthest. Candidates talk to a live AI interviewer, shown as a video avatar or heard as audio, at any hour and in multiple languages. It adjusts its follow-ups to each answer and covers technical roles (coding, system design) as well as non-technical ones. Recruiters receive a score breakdown, video snippets and a report to share with the client or hiring manager. Carolina then schedules the next step on your calendar.
Each action carries a guardrail you choose: suggest, ask first, or auto. Offers and compensation changes always wait for a person. You can ask Carolina pipeline questions in plain English and get a morning digest in Slack or Teams.
How Sense works
Sense describes itself as an AI recruiting platform that "turns your ATS into a talent engine." It bundles a conversational CRM, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, a chatbot, interview scheduling, referrals and analytics. Its AI Recruiter is pitched as "One AI Recruiter: The Power of an Entire Team", a set of specialized agents for sourcing, engagement, screening and scheduling. Sense says recruiters set priorities and guardrails, and the agents surface decisions that need human input.
Sense's Voice AI, also sold as an AI Interviewer, makes real-time phone calls to prescreen candidates and book interviews, then produces scorecards and summaries. Its candidate matching carries a "Warden Assured" badge. It has not published an NYC Local Law 144 audit on the pages we checked. Published customers include Kaiser, HCA Healthcare and ManpowerGroup.
When Sense is the better choice
- You run a staffing firm and want to re-engage the candidates already sitting in Bullhorn, JobDiva or Avionte with text and WhatsApp campaigns.
- Referrals, a chatbot and engagement analytics matter as much to you as screening.
- Your screens are short phone calls for frontline or healthcare roles, and video is not needed.
- You want implementation, a CSM, three months of hypercare and 24/7 support bundled in, which Sense says every package includes.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we are a newer, smaller company than Sense, with no published customer case studies yet. We are not an ATS or system of record, and we have not published a proprietary candidate database. For very high-volume hourly hiring where SMS apply and chat scheduling are the whole flow, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are purpose-built.
Pricing compared
Sense is one of the few vendors in this group that publishes starting prices. It lists the AI Recruiter from $3,000 a month, the Sense Platform for Staffing Teams from $2,000 a month, the platform for talent acquisition teams from $7,000 a month, and SMS/WhatsApp messaging or interview scheduling from $500 a month each.
NTRVSTA publishes full plan prices on our pricing section:
- Starter: $0 for one open role and 10 AI interviews, no card needed.
- Team: $490/mo billed annually ($590 monthly), 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, up to 10 seats.
- Scale: $1,490/mo billed annually ($1,790 monthly), 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
- Enterprise and agencies: priced per hire or per seat.
If you use the whole Scale allowance on annual billing, that is about $5.96 per interview. An AI interview is a live session of up to 60 minutes, and annual billing saves about 17%. The packages differ in scope, so price the same workload with both vendors.
Who should pick which
- If you are a staffing agency focused on redeploying your existing talent pool, pick Sense.
- If you hire engineers or other specialists and need interviews that probe deeper than a phone screen, pick NTRVSTA.
- If a published NYC LL144 bias audit for the AI interview step is a must-have, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you want to prove value free on one role before any contract, start on NTRVSTA's Starter plan.
- If you need fresh candidates sourced for new roles, not just rediscovered ones, pick NTRVSTA.

Questions
How much does Sense cost?
Sense publishes starting prices: the AI Recruiter from $3,000 a month, the staffing platform from $2,000 a month, the talent acquisition platform from $7,000 a month, and messaging or scheduling add-ons from $500 a month. Final pricing depends on scope.
Does Sense run video AI interviews?
Sense describes its Voice AI as real-time phone calls that prescreen and schedule candidates, with scorecards and summaries. We did not find a video interview format. NTRVSTA offers either a video avatar or an audio interviewer.
Which works better for staffing agencies?
It depends on the job to be done. Sense is strong at re-engaging candidates already in your ATS through SMS and WhatsApp. NTRVSTA connects to staffing systems such as Bullhorn, JobDiva and Avionté and adds sourcing plus deeper live interviews you can share with clients.
Does Sense have an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit?
Not one we could find. Sense's candidate matching shows a Warden AI assurance badge, but the pages we checked do not name LL144. NTRVSTA's AI interviews have an independent LL144 audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026.
