NTRVSTA wrote this Juicebox vs Pin breakdown. We make a competing product, so we only use facts from both companies' own sites and public news, and we include a third option at the end.
Juicebox vs Pin comes up a lot among agency recruiters and founders, because both tools are cheap to start, both have free plans and both promise agents that source for you. Juicebox is built around search you control. Pin is built around handing it a job title and getting booked calls back.
The short answer
Pick Juicebox if you like running searches yourself in plain English, want background agents to keep finding people, and plan to email candidates. Pick Pin if you want the tool to carry a role from job description to calendar invite, across email, SMS and LinkedIn, with a switch on each step between hands-on, co-pilot and full autopilot. Both start free. Pin goes further after the first reply.
Side by side: Juicebox vs Pin
Where Juicebox is stronger
Juicebox treats the search itself as the product. You describe a person in a sentence, refine it, and see a ranked pool you can reshape before anyone gets a message. Recruiters who already know what good looks like tend to like that control. Juicebox Agents then run the same search continuously and can auto-email or auto-shortlist new matches.
- A bigger contact allowance on its mid tier: Growth includes 1,500 contact credits per seat a month, against Pin Professional's 1,000.
- Talent insights on the Growth plan.
- Monthly billing on its entry paid plan ($119 a seat), where Pin Solo is annual only.
- A long list of ATS and CRM connections on the Business plan, including Workable, SmartRecruiters and SAP SuccessFactors.
Where Pin is stronger
Pin takes on more of the follow-through. It researches the hiring company, writes the criteria, matches candidates with a score that explains the fit, and sends sequences from your own inbox once you approve. When candidates reply, Pin answers from a knowledge base you give it and pings you on Slack when it hits a question it can't answer. Interested people get times from your calendar and an invite.
- Scheduling built in, with Google Calendar, Calendly, Cal.com, Zoom and Google Meet.
- Three outreach channels on paid plans, where Juicebox lists email.
- Per-step automation settings: hands-on, co-pilot or full autopilot.
- ATS integration available as an add-on on its smaller plans, while Juicebox reserves it for Business.
Pricing compared
The two price lists sit close together. Juicebox Starter is $99 a seat a month on annual billing ($119 monthly) with 500 contact credits; Pin Solo is $100 a user a month, annual only, with 500 credits and two AI agents. One tier up, Juicebox Growth is $179 a seat on annual billing ($199 monthly) with 1,500 credits, up to five seats; Pin Professional is $135 a user on annual billing ($179 monthly) with 1,000 credits per seat and two agents per user. Both top tiers (Juicebox Business, Pin Enterprise) are custom.
Two details change the math. Juicebox sells Agents as an add-on at $199 per agent a month, while Pin includes two agents per user on paid plans. Pin, in turn, charges for ATS integration as an add-on below Enterprise. Our Juicebox pricing guide and Pin pricing guide break down each tier.
Who should pick which
- You want to own the search and tune it by hand: Juicebox.
- You want booked calls without writing sequences: Pin.
- You need to text candidates: Pin.
- You want to pay month to month at the entry tier: Juicebox.
- You want many contacts per seat on a mid-tier plan: Juicebox Growth.
- You need candidate questions answered while you're busy: Pin's knowledge-base replies.
A third option: NTRVSTA
Juicebox and Pin both hand the candidate to a human once the call is booked. NTRVSTA's agent, Carolina, keeps going: it runs a live, adaptive AI interview by video avatar or audio, scores resumes against the job with reasons, and books the next round, working inside your ATS. Agencies that only want more first calls on the calendar may not need that, and Pin or Juicebox will cost less. If screening is where your week goes, book a demo.
- Email, SMS and WhatsApp outreach.
- Interviews for technical and non-technical roles, 24/7.
- A free Starter plan with one open role and 10 AI interviews; see our pricing section.
