Jack & Jill alternatives: 6 AI hiring agents and recruiter networks compared

Jill makes warm introductions from Jack's candidate network. When you need reach beyond that network, or help with your own applicants, look here.

Disclosure first: we're NTRVSTA, we wrote this roundup of Jack & Jill alternatives, and our own product is on it. We describe every other tool using only what that company publishes, with links under Sources.

Jack & Jill has a clever model. Candidates talk to Jack, a free career agent, and companies brief Jill, which introduces them to people who have already said they're open to the conversation. Teams start looking at Jack & Jill alternatives and competitors for structural reasons. The network is strongest in startup tech in London, New York and San Francisco, so roles outside that pool may get few matches. Jill brings people to you, but it doesn't screen the applicants you already have. Per-role pricing grows with every open job. And some teams simply want a human recruiter on a search. If warm intros for a few startup roles are exactly what you need, Jack & Jill is hard to beat on price.

1. NTRVSTA (us)

Jill finds a few people; NTRVSTA works on everyone. Carolina, our agent, sources candidates for each role and contacts them by email, SMS and WhatsApp, which matters when your candidates don't live in their inbox. It also scores every resume in your pipeline, sourced or inbound, ranks them against the job, and explains the ranking. Candidates who pass take a live AI interview, as a video avatar or audio, that adjusts its questions to each answer and covers technical and non-technical roles in multiple languages. Carolina then schedules panels and sends a morning digest to Slack or Microsoft Teams.

You choose how independent it is (suggest, ask first or auto for each action), and offers and comp changes always wait for a person. It connects to 70 systems, including Ashby, Workable, Greenhouse and Workday. Our NYC Local Law 144 audit covers the AI interviews and is on our compliance page. What we don't have: an opted-in candidate network like Jack's. Our Jack & Jill vs NTRVSTA page goes deeper.

Best for: teams with steady applicant flow that want one agent screening and moving every candidate, not just intros.

2. Pin

Pin is the opposite approach to Jill: reach out to anyone who fits, not only people who opted in. Pin says it matches candidates from 850M+ profiles across North America and Europe, explains each fit score, sends multi-step sequences from your own Gmail or Outlook, answers replies, and books interviews on your calendar. Its outreach covers email, SMS and LinkedIn, and every step can be hands-on, co-pilot or full autopilot. A free plan covers one job; Solo is $100 per user per month on annual billing.

Best for: founders and agencies who need volume outbound beyond any single network.

3. Juicebox

Juicebox is for recruiters who like doing the search, just faster. You describe the person you want in natural language, and Juicebox says it returns a ranked pool from 800M+ profiles across 30+ data sources, with AI-personalized outreach sequences. Juicebox Agents ($199 per agent per month) keep sourcing in the background and can auto-email or auto-shortlist. Seats start at $99 to $119 a month, and ATS sync is on the custom Business plan. It doesn't interview candidates.

Best for: hands-on recruiters who want broad search and outreach in one place.

4. Alfa

Like Jack & Jill, Alfa is a London company, but its model is closer to an end-to-end AI recruiter. Alfa says it writes the brief with you, publishes job ads, sources from 800M+ profiles, reaches out automatically, and screens candidates in an audio or video interview with Lisa, its AI avatar. It then returns an evidence-backed fit score and syncs candidates into your ATS; Alfa lists 75+ ATS on its site. It shows SOC 2 and ISO 27001 badges. Pricing isn't published.

Best for: UK and European recruiting teams, especially agencies, that want sourcing and AI interviews from one vendor.

5. Paraform

If you'd rather have a person than an agent, Paraform is a good place to look. It matches companies with specialized recruiters from a network of more than 10,000, adds custom AI agents trained on its Hiring Intelligence data, and assigns a talent strategist to manage the search. There's no fee until someone is hired; then Paraform takes a flat, unpublished percentage of first-year base salary and offers a 90-day replacement search.

Best for: a founding, executive or niche technical hire where you want a specialist recruiter.

6. Dover

Dover suits early startups that need both an ATS and occasional recruiting help. Its free ATS covers unlimited users, jobs and candidates and posts to 50+ job boards. Its marketplace lists fractional recruiters who work hourly, on retainer or per hire at rates they set; Dover says the average cost per hire is $4.8K. Premium, at $199 a month, adds AI applicant scoring and an AI notetaker.

Best for: seed-stage teams with no ATS who want human recruiting support on flexible terms.

When to stay with Jack & Jill

  • Your roles are startup tech jobs in London, New York or San Francisco, where Jack talks with people every day.
  • You value candidates who already agreed to the conversation over response rates from cold outreach.
  • You have a few open roles, so per-role pricing (or the free Meet Jill plan) costs less than a seat or platform plan.
  • You like briefing an agent over Slack and getting a short list back, with no new system to learn.

Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit here: we don't offer warm, double opt-in introductions, and we don't publish a candidate database size, so for pure search depth Pin or Juicebox will go further. We're also newer and smaller than many competitors, without published case studies, and we aren't an ATS. Questions

What does Jack & Jill not do?

Based on its own pages, Jill doesn't run screening interviews for applicants who come through your careers page, and it doesn't describe SMS or WhatsApp outreach. It introduces you to people from Jack's opted-in network and, on paid plans, from public profiles.

Which Jack & Jill alternative is best for UK hiring?

Alfa is London-based and says it sources from 800M+ profiles, interviews candidates with an AI avatar and pushes results into your ATS. NTRVSTA also works for UK roles and runs interviews in multiple languages. Both are worth a demo if Jack's network is thin for your role.

How does Jack & Jill pricing compare with its competitors?

Jack & Jill charges per active role: free for up to 20 intro requests a month, then $199 per role per month on annual billing. Pin and Juicebox charge per seat, NTRVSTA charges per plan with a set number of AI interviews, and Paraform charges a percentage of salary on hire.

Can I use Jack & Jill alongside an AI recruiting agent?

Yes. They do different jobs. Jill brings in a few warm introductions, while an agent like NTRVSTA's Carolina scores, interviews and schedules everyone in your pipeline, including those intros, once they're in your ATS.

Want to see an agent work your existing applicants, not just new intros? Book a demo, or take a sample AI interview to feel what candidates experience. Plans are on our pricing section.
