Full disclosure: we're NTRVSTA, we wrote this guide to Asendia AI alternatives, and we're one of the six products in it. Facts about the others come from their own sites, listed at the bottom.
Asendia AI is a Y Combinator-backed AI recruiter for staffing agencies. Its agent, Sarah, matches applicants and your database to each requisition, calls them for a phone screen, follows up by SMS, WhatsApp and email, and hands a recruiter a compatibility report. Teams compare Asendia AI alternatives and competitors for a few reasons: they want pricing they can see before a demo, a video option alongside the phone, sourcing of new candidates rather than only re-engaging the database, or a published bias audit for AI screening. If Sarah's phone screens are already clearing your desk's backlog, there may be no reason to move.
The alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
Asendia works the candidates you already have. NTRVSTA's agent, Carolina, also goes looking for new ones: she sources candidates for each open role and reaches out by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Every resume is scored and ranked against the job with an explanation. Then, instead of a phone screen, candidates take a live AI interview as a video avatar or audio, with questions that adapt to each answer for technical and non-technical roles alike. Carolina schedules the next round and posts a morning digest in Slack or Teams. Our NYC Local Law 144 audit by Asenion covers these AI interviews; details are on the compliance page.
Staffing teams can connect JobDiva, Ceipal, Bullhorn, Avionté or TempWorks. What we don't offer: outbound phone calls to candidates, and published security attestations. We're also newer, with no case studies published yet.
Best for: Agencies and in-house teams that want sourcing, scoring and live adaptive interviews from one agent, with prices on the website.
2. ConverzAI
ConverzAI is the most direct swap for Asendia. Its Virtual Recruiter engages candidates by phone, text and email, can "lead all interviews autonomously," reactivates candidates already in the ATS by matching them to open roles, and writes results back. It targets staffing firms of every size and lists integrations with Avionté, Bullhorn, Ceipal, JobDiva, Salesforce, TempWorks and others. ConverzAI raised a $16M Series A in February 2025. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: Staffing agencies that want an AI voice recruiter to reactivate and screen their ATS database at scale.
3. Tenzo
Tenzo's AI recruiter, Morgan, runs voice AI interviews 24/7 by phone or video, along with resume review, fraud detection, scheduling and rediscovery of past candidates in the ATS. Interviews come with scorecards, and Tenzo says a de-biasing layer strips protected-class information from transcripts before evaluation. It says it has 57+ ATS integrations, with the list available on request. Pricing is a custom quote.
Best for: Staffing agencies and high-volume employers that want phone or video screening plus scheduling from one vendor.
4. HeyMilo
HeyMilo's AI agents screen candidates through two-way voice and video interviews, plus SMS and forms, around the clock in 20+ languages, scoring answers against your criteria with written reasoning. It also scores resumes and adds ID verification. HeyMilo lists a long set of ATS connections, including Bullhorn, JobDiva, Avionté, Greenhouse and Workday. It announced $6M in total funding in June 2026. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: Staffing firms and volume employers that want voice, video and SMS screening with wide ATS coverage.
5. Alex
Alex (formerly Apriora) runs an always-on first-round interview by phone or video, after scoring applications for fraud risk and screening resumes against your criteria. It books qualified candidates onto team calendars, rediscovers past candidates in the ATS, and offers real-time proctoring and an ID check that matches a government ID to a live selfie. Alex announced $20M in total funding in September 2025 and says it supports 33+ ATS. Pricing is demo only.
Best for: Staffing firms and enterprises that want AI first-round interviews with identity checks included.
6. Classet
Classet's AI recruiter, Joy, calls applicants for a first phone interview using your questions and must-haves, answers their questions, then handles scheduling and follow-ups by text and email. It also runs a 24/7 Call-to-Apply line. Each call is labeled Strong, Good, Borderline or Weak with quoted evidence, and Classet says people make every decision. Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, and every account gets 20 free interviews.
Best for: Hourly and frontline employers, including staffing, that want quick AI phone screens at a published price.
When to stay with Asendia AI
Stay with Asendia if your recruiters' biggest drain is calling back applicants and old database records, and Sarah is getting candidates on the phone. Its mix of voice, SMS, WhatsApp and email follow-ups covers the channels staffing candidates use most. Asendia also shows SOC 2 Type I, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR badges, which some healthcare and enterprise clients look for. If what's missing is new sourcing, you could keep Asendia for re-engagement and add a separate sourcing step.
