A note before you read: NTRVSTA wrote this Asendia AI vs NTRVSTA comparison, and we're one of the two products being compared. Everything we say about Asendia comes from asendia.ai, linked at the end.
The short answer
Asendia AI and NTRVSTA are both AI recruiter agents, but they start from different jobs. Choose Asendia if you run a staffing agency and want an AI voice recruiter that calls, re-engages and pre-screens your applicants and database by phone, with follow-ups over SMS, WhatsApp and email. Choose NTRVSTA if you want an agent, Carolina, that also sources new candidates, scores every resume, runs live video or audio interviews for technical and non-technical roles, and schedules the panel, with public pricing.
Side by side: Asendia AI vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
NTRVSTA gives each open role to Carolina. She sources candidates, contacts them by email, SMS or WhatsApp, and scores and ranks every resume against the job, with a reason a recruiter can read and challenge. Candidates can then take a live AI interview at any hour. The interviewer is a video avatar or an audio voice, and it raises or lowers the difficulty as answers come in, which matters when the same desk fills a forklift role on Monday and a Java developer role on Tuesday. Interviews run in multiple languages.
Recruiters and clients see a score breakdown, video snippets and a shareable report. Carolina books follow-up interviews on the right calendars, answers pipeline questions in plain English, and sends a morning digest in Slack or Microsoft Teams. Every action is set to suggest, ask first or auto, and offers or pay changes always wait for a person.
For staffing teams, NTRVSTA connects to systems such as JobDiva, Bullhorn, Ceipal, Avionté and TempWorks, among 70 in total. Setup takes a few days, depending on customization.
How Asendia AI works
Asendia is backed by Y Combinator and focuses on staffing agencies. Its pitch is "Don't replace your recruiters, clone your best ones." On each requisition, Asendia says its AI agent Sarah matches candidates from active applicants and your internal database, calls them for a preliminary phone screen, and follows up by SMS, WhatsApp and email. She then compiles a compatibility report and notifies a recruiter when the candidate is ready for human review. Asendia says shortlists, transcripts and scores sync back to the ATS.
Asendia names JobDiva, Lever and Manatal among its integrations and says 50+ ATS are available. Under "Enterprise Grade Security" it shows HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 Type I and ISO 27001 badges, without further detail on the page. It names SGF Global and FSTAFF as customers. Pricing isn't published; the site offers a demo.
When Asendia AI is the better choice
- Your candidates answer the phone more readily than they open a link, and a voice call is the screen you want.
- Your main job is re-engaging a large existing database, not finding new people.
- Your client contracts require security attestations; Asendia shows SOC 2 Type I and ISO 27001 badges, and we don't publish those today.
- You want a vendor that works only with staffing firms and speaks their workflow.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we're newer and smaller than many vendors, with no published case studies yet. We aren't an ATS or system of record, so your ATS stays in place. For very high-volume hourly hiring where SMS apply and chat scheduling are the whole flow, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are built for that. And we don't publish a profile database, so if large-scale external search is the priority, a dedicated sourcing tool may serve you better.
Pricing compared
Asendia doesn't publish pricing or a free trial. You'll need a demo and a quote to compare cost per screen.
NTRVSTA's plans are public in our pricing section:
- Starter: $0, one open role and 10 AI interviews, no card required.
- Team: $490/mo billed annually, or $590 paid monthly. 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, up to 10 seats.
- Scale: $1,490/mo billed annually, or $1,790 paid monthly. 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
- Enterprise and agencies: priced per hire or per seat.
Each AI interview is one live session of up to 60 minutes. At full use, Team comes to about $8.17 per interview and Scale to about $5.96 per interview on annual billing. Agencies placing many candidates a month usually ask about per-hire or per-seat pricing, which we quote on a call.
Who should pick which
- If phone screening of your existing database is the bottleneck, pick Asendia.
- If you need to find new candidates as well as screen applicants, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you fill technical roles and want the first interview to adapt its technical questions to each answer, pick NTRVSTA.
- If your security reviewer asks for SOC 2 or ISO 27001 paperwork, pick Asendia.
- If you want to see prices before a sales call, pick NTRVSTA.
- If your clients or roles fall under NYC Local Law 144, pick NTRVSTA, which publishes an audit of its AI interviews.
