ModernLoop is first an interview scheduling tool for companies that run heavy interview loops, and it has added Taylor AI, an always-on AI recruiter that runs phone screens at volume. NTRVSTA is an agentic AI recruiter, Carolina, that sources candidates, sends outreach, scores resumes, runs live video or audio interviews and then schedules. Choose ModernLoop if scheduling across many interviewers is what slows you down. Choose NTRVSTA if you need candidates found and screened before the loop, with a published audit for the interviews and public pricing.

How NTRVSTA works
Carolina, the NTRVSTA agent, plugs into the tools your team already runs: the ATS, HRIS, payroll, calendar, and Slack or Teams. Nothing gets ripped out. For each open role it sources candidates and contacts them by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Every resume that comes in gets a score and a rank against the job, and Carolina tells you why one person ranks above another.
Shortlisted candidates take a live AI interview at any hour. Unlike a fixed script, the interviewer (a video avatar or an audio voice) changes its next question based on what the candidate just said, and it works for engineering roles as well as sales, support or operations. Hiring managers get a score breakdown, video clips of key moments and a shareable report. Carolina then lines up the next interview or panel through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly.
Your team sets a guardrail for each action: suggest, ask first or auto. Offers and compensation changes always go to a person. Anyone on the team can ask Carolina about the pipeline in plain English, and a morning digest arrives in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
How ModernLoop works
ModernLoop says it automates interview scheduling on top of your ATS: it syncs calendars, picks interviewers, balances interviewer workload and runs scheduling queues for coordinators. It lists integrations with Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters, with iCIMS coming soon and Avature on request, plus Okta or Entra ID SSO with SAML and SCIM. It also says it works with Microsoft GCC High for customers with federal requirements.
In 2025 ModernLoop added Taylor AI, which it calls "Your Always-On AI Recruiter." ModernLoop says Taylor is configurable, runs candidate interviews 24/7 with hundreds of calls at once, assesses candidates against your criteria, answers their questions from your knowledge base, and handles "zero-click" scheduling. ModernLoop has not published whether Taylor adapts its follow-ups or whether it offers a video format. Its homepage mentions a $9M Series A and customers such as Instacart, Brex, Ramp and Benchling.
When ModernLoop is the better choice
- Your coordinators spend their week juggling interviewer calendars, and you want queues, interviewer selection and workload balancing built for that job.
- You need Microsoft GCC High support, which ModernLoop says it offers.
- You already have plenty of applicants and mainly want a fast AI phone screen before the human loop.
- You are a tech company that wants a scheduling vendor already used by peers like Instacart and Ramp.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we are younger and smaller than many vendors in this space and have no published customer case studies yet. NTRVSTA is not an ATS, so you keep your system of record. We don't publish a proprietary profile database; sourcing tools such as SeekOut or hireEZ publish large databases and deep search filters. And for very high-volume hourly hiring built around SMS apply, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are designed for that flow.
Pricing compared
ModernLoop doesn't publish pricing for scheduling or for Taylor AI. You will need a demo and a quote.
On our side, anyone can read the plans on the pricing section without talking to sales. You can run one open role free (Starter, $0, 10 AI interviews, no card). Up to 10 recruiters can share Team, which costs $490/mo on an annual contract or $590 month to month and includes 60 AI interviews monthly, with extras at $12. Scale raises the allowance to 250 a month for $1,490/mo annually or $1,790 monthly, with extras at $9. Agencies and enterprises pay per hire or per seat.
Per interview, a fully used Team plan on monthly billing is about $9.83 per interview, and a fully used Scale plan on monthly billing is about $7.16 per interview. Each AI interview is one live session of up to 60 minutes, and paying annually saves about 17%.
Who should pick which
- If your loops involve many interviewers and constant reschedules, pick ModernLoop.
- If you need outreach on email, SMS and WhatsApp to reach candidates who have not applied, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you want a video avatar interviewer, or technical interviews that adapt to each answer, pick NTRVSTA.
- If federal or GCC High requirements shape your tool choices, pick ModernLoop.

Does ModernLoop source candidates?
Not from what ModernLoop publishes. It focuses on scheduling and on screening candidates who are already in your process. NTRVSTA's Carolina sources candidates for each role and reaches out by email, SMS and WhatsApp.
Does ModernLoop publish a bias audit?
We did not find one on ModernLoop's site. NTRVSTA publishes an independent NYC Local Law 144 bias audit of its AI interviews, by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026.
