Full disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this page, and we're one of the two tools in it. Our facts about Alfa come only from Alfa's own website and from news coverage of its funding, all linked in the Sources list.
Alfa AI vs NTRVSTA is a closer match than most comparisons in this category. Both are AI recruiters that sit on top of your ATS, find candidates, reach out, interview them with an AI avatar and score them. The real differences are control over each step, published outreach channels, compliance paperwork and price visibility.
The short answer
Choose Alfa if you're a UK or European team, or an agency, that wants a hands-off recruiter that writes and posts the job ad, searches a large published profile index and hands back scored candidates, and your security review needs SOC 2 and ISO 27001 badges. Choose NTRVSTA if you want per-action approvals, outreach by SMS and WhatsApp, calendar scheduling, a published NYC Local Law 144 audit for its interviews, and public pricing with a free plan.
Side by side: Alfa AI vs NTRVSTA
How NTRVSTA works
Carolina picks up an open role and sources people for it, then contacts them by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Every resume that comes in gets scored and ranked against the job, with the reasons shown, so a recruiter can disagree with a ranking instead of guessing at it. Shortlisted candidates take a live AI interview whenever suits them. The interviewer can be a video avatar or audio only, and it adapts each question to the last answer, for technical and non-technical roles, in multiple languages.
From there Carolina books interviews and panels on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom or Calendly. Hiring managers can ask it about the pipeline in plain English and get a morning digest in Slack or Teams. You decide how much it does alone: each action is set to suggest, ask first or auto, and offers or compensation changes always go to a person. It connects to the systems you already run, like Workday or Bullhorn, and setup takes a few days, depending on customization.
How Alfa AI works
Alfa says it runs a role from start to finish. It writes the brief with you, generates and publishes the job ads, sources from 800M+ profiles and job-board inbound, and reaches out on its own. Candidates then interview with Lisa, Alfa's AI avatar, by audio or video. Alfa returns a fit score backed by evidence and syncs the candidates into your ATS. Alfa describes itself as "not a tool a recruiter operates," and says one recruiter can run dozens of roles this way.
Alfa Technology Recruitment Ltd is a London company. It says it closed a GBP 1M seed round led by Sake Bosch and named James Caan CBE as a strategic advisor, which Recruiter.co.uk covered in August 2026. Alfa shows SOC 2 and ISO 27001 badges and runs a Trust Center. Its FAQ asks how Alfa stays compliant with NYC Local Law 144, the EU AI Act and GDPR, but we couldn't see an answer on the page.
When Alfa AI is the better choice
- You want the agent to write and publish job ads as part of the run, not just work candidates once they exist.
- Your security team requires SOC 2 or ISO 27001 badges today. We don't publish those.
- Search depth matters. Alfa publishes an 800M+ profile figure, while we don't publish a profile database at all.
- You're a UK agency and prefer a London vendor with a UK recruiting network around it.
To be plain about where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we're newer and smaller than incumbents, with no published case studies yet. We're not an ATS or a system of record. If you'd rather human recruiters ran the search, a marketplace like Paraform or Dover fits better. And for hourly hiring built around SMS apply, Paradox, Fountain or Workstream are made for that.
Pricing compared
Alfa doesn't publish prices. The site routes buyers to a demo, so you'll need a quote before you can compare cost per role or per interview.
NTRVSTA's plans are on our pricing section:
- Starter: $0, one open role, 10 AI interviews, no card.
- Team: $490/mo billed annually or $590 month to month. Includes 60 AI interviews a month, then $12 each, for up to 10 seats.
- Scale: $1,490/mo billed annually or $1,790 month to month. Includes 250 AI interviews a month, then $9 each.
- Enterprise and recruiting agencies: per-hire or per-seat pricing.
On annual billing, Team comes to about $8.17 per included interview and Scale to about $5.96. Each AI interview is one live session of up to 60 minutes. When you get Alfa's quote, ask for the same unit (per interview, per role or per hire) so the numbers line up.
Who should pick which
- If you want an agent to post your job ads as well as screen, pick Alfa AI.
- If you want to choose, step by step, what the agent may do alone, pick NTRVSTA.
- If candidates reply faster on WhatsApp or SMS than email, pick NTRVSTA.
- If procurement needs SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence before a pilot, pick Alfa AI.
- If you hire in New York City and want a published LL144 audit for the interview step, pick NTRVSTA.
- If you need a price before a sales call, pick NTRVSTA.
