NTRVSTA vs HeyMilo: multichannel AI screening or a deep adaptive interview?

Two AI interviewers with different centers of gravity: HeyMilo goes wide across channels, NTRVSTA goes deep on the interview.

We built NTRVSTA, and we wrote this comparison with HeyMilo, so treat it as a vendor's view. To keep it fair, every HeyMilo fact comes from HeyMilo's own site and press coverage of its funding, and the links are at the bottom.

The short answer

HeyMilo and NTRVSTA both run two-way AI interviews by voice and video. HeyMilo spreads across channels: voice, video, SMS and forms, in 20+ languages, with a long list of named ATS connections that suits staffing firms. NTRVSTA concentrates on the interview itself, adjusting difficulty to each answer and offering coding exams and a system-design whiteboard. Choose HeyMilo if reach and integrations matter most. Choose NTRVSTA if interview depth, an avatar candidates can see, and published prices matter more.

How NTRVSTA works

Think of NTRVSTA as a structured first-round interviewer that never runs out of calendar. Candidates take the interview 24/7, speaking with an AI that appears as a video avatar (ready-made or tailored to your recruiter) or as audio only. Each answer shapes the next question and its difficulty.

The content is where it earns its keep. The exam library covers Java, Python, C++, JavaScript and more, React, Angular and Node.js, AI/ML and DevOps tools, plus soft skills like communication and problem-solving. System-design rounds use an interactive whiteboard. Behavioral questions follow STAR, and hints show how a candidate uses guidance. Scores split into technical skills, English proficiency and communication, and the report includes video snippets you can send around. Resume scoring ranks the whole applicant pool against the job description before interviews begin.

How HeyMilo works

HeyMilo says its AI agents screen candidates through two-way voice and video interviews, plus SMS and form screening, 24/7 in 20+ languages. The agents score answers against your criteria and write out their reasoning. HeyMilo also auto-scores resumes, adds trust signals such as ID verification and cheating flags, and syncs reports and transcripts back to your ATS.

Its integration list is long and staffing-friendly: HeyMilo names Bullhorn, Avionte, JobDiva, Workday, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, UKG, iCIMS, SuccessFactors, Teamtailor, Salesforce, Workable, Jobylon and Manatal, among others. On compliance it shows an AICPA SOC 2 badge, lists GDPR and an "AI Trust Assurance" badge, and claims third-party bias audits without naming NYC Local Law 144.

HeyMilo raised a $2.2M seed round led by Canaan in March 2025 and announced $6M in total funding, led by Category Ventures, in June 2026, according to press coverage. It names customers including Coca-Cola, Bridgestone, Intuit and AB InBev.

When HeyMilo is the better choice

  • You're a staffing agency on Bullhorn, Avionte or JobDiva and want native sync with your system.
  • You want to screen by SMS or form as well as by voice and video, from one vendor.
  • You want ID verification and cheating flags built into the screening flow.
  • You need a published language count, and HeyMilo's 20+ covers your markets.

Our weak spots, for the record. NTRVSTA is an interview and screening layer, so you'll still need an ATS, and our native ATS list is shorter than HeyMilo's. The public API is on the way but not out. We don't run SMS apply or chat scheduling for hourly hiring, where Paradox or Fountain are a better fit. Buyers who want human interviewers should consider a Karat-style service. And as a newer company, we have fewer published enterprise stories.

Pricing compared

HeyMilo doesn't list plan prices on its pricing page, so you'll need a quote before you can compare per-interview cost.

NTRVSTA is priced in the open on our pricing calculator. One credit covers a minute of audio interview, and three credits cover a minute with an avatar.

  • Free Demo ($0): 50 credits, one concurrent interview.
  • Starter ($299/mo): 1,500 credits, about 30 interviews, email support.
  • Growth ($699/mo): 4,000 credits, about 80 interviews, priority support.
  • Scale ($1,999/mo): 12,500 credits, about 250 interviews, priority support plus an SLA.
  • Enterprise (custom): SSO/SAML, a dedicated CSM, on-prem available.

At 80 interviews a month on Growth, the average is about $8.74 per interview, or $0.35 per minute. Format changes the bill: a 25-minute interview is 25 credits by audio and 75 with an avatar.

Who should pick which

  • If your recruiters live in Bullhorn or JobDiva and fill contract roles daily, pick HeyMilo.
  • If you're hiring a data engineer and want a system-design round on a whiteboard, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you need SMS and form screening alongside voice, pick HeyMilo.
  • If your compliance review specifically asks for an NYC Local Law 144 audit, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you want to know the cost before talking to sales, pick NTRVSTA.
