To be upfront, NTRVSTA wrote this list, and NTRVSTA is one of the VidCruiter alternatives on it. For VidCruiter and everyone else, we used only what each company publishes, linked in Sources at the end.
VidCruiter is a mature, structured video interviewing suite used by large employers and public-sector bodies, with one-way and live video, interview guides, reference checks, skills testing and an ATS. People compare VidCruiter alternatives for a few structural reasons. Its site lists an autonomous AI Interviewer as "coming soon," and says its current AI tools are "assistive, not autonomous," so teams that want an AI to run interviews today look elsewhere. Pricing isn't published. And smaller teams may not need a full enterprise suite. If you want humans running structured interviews with strong compliance paperwork, VidCruiter may still be the better fit.
VidCruiter alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
VidCruiter describes its coming AI Interviewer as "agentic hiring that runs full candidate interviews on its own." NTRVSTA does that today. Our AI interviewer runs a live, real-time conversation, as a video avatar or as audio only, and adapts difficulty to each answer. Candidates take it 24/7, so there's no scheduling, and you can brand the interview and pick a ready-made avatar or one tailored to your recruiter. It covers technical roles (coding exams, frameworks, system design on a whiteboard) and non-technical ones (STAR behavioral questions, communication, leadership).
Each report includes a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments and a shareable summary. AI resume scoring ranks every applicant against the job. We publish pricing and an independent NYC Local Law 144 bias audit (Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026) on our compliance page. Where VidCruiter is stronger: it lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, offers reference checks, panel interviews and an ATS, and integrates with Workday, Dayforce, SAP and Oracle. Our ATS list (Lever and others) is shorter, and our API isn't public yet. See NTRVSTA vs VidCruiter.
Best for: teams that want an autonomous, adaptive AI interviewer in production now.
2. HireVue
HireVue is the most like-for-like enterprise suite, with an AI interviewer that's already live. Its AI Interviewer, launched June 2026, runs a two-way voice interview 24/7 with probing follow-ups and scores answers against role criteria. HireVue also offers one-way and live video with a Zoom and Teams co-pilot, game-based assessments and skills tests. It lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and FedRAMP. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: large employers that want a full video suite plus an AI interviewer from one vendor.
3. Talview (Ivy)
Talview fits buyers who chose VidCruiter for its proctoring and fraud features. Talview says Ivy is a human-like AI video interviewer that asks contextual follow-ups and scores in real time, and pairs it with AI proctoring, identity verification and live interview rooms with deepfake detection. Much of its base is assessment and exam bodies. It lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and WCAG 2.1.
Best for: public-sector and certification programs where integrity checks matter most.
4. Spark Hire
Spark Hire is a simpler, cheaper option for teams that mainly use VidCruiter's one-way video. Spark Hire says its video product auto-summarizes and scores responses and transcribes in 50+ languages, and it now leads with an ATS for small and medium organizations. Video interviews start at $249/mo billed annually.
Best for: small and midsize teams that want one-way video with AI summaries at a published price.
5. Willo
Willo lets candidates answer on their own schedule by video, text, file upload or multiple choice, with 1,500+ ready-made assessments. Willo Verified adds ID, right-to-work and background checks, and Willo lists ISO 27001 and 50+ native integrations on Enterprise, including Workday and SAP SuccessFactors. Willo Lite is GBP 49 per live role per month.
Best for: UK and EU employers that want async screening with right-to-work checks.
6. Hireflix
Hireflix is the minimalist pick. You build a one-way video interview once and invite unlimited candidates, who record with no app or registration. Hireflix says it deliberately avoids live interviews, assessments and scheduling. Plans are $75/mo or $150/mo billed yearly, with a 1-month free trial.
Best for: small teams that want basic recorded interviews at the lowest cost.
When to stay with VidCruiter
Stay with VidCruiter if your process depends on humans running structured interviews, and you value its breadth: panel video, structured interview guides, automated reference checks, skills testing, proctoring, virtual hiring events and an ATS. It lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001/27017/27018, GDPR, PIPEDA and a VPAT, which matters for public-sector buyers. Its customers include Samsung, UPS and Elections BC. If you can wait for its AI Interviewer, you may get autonomy without switching.
