We wrote this, and we should say so up front: NTRVSTA is one of the Metaview alternatives below. All claims about other tools come from the vendors' own pages, linked in Sources.
Metaview has changed fast. It began as an interview notetaker and now calls itself an "Agentic Recruiting Platform," with agents for sourcing, application review, screening, notes, reports and outreach. It launched a voice AI Screening agent on September 9, 2026, raised a $60M Series C on September 30, 2026, and acquired the startup Reval. That breadth is why people look for Metaview alternatives: some want only the notetaker, some want a screener with a video avatar or deeper technical rounds, and some want a published NYC Local Law 144 bias audit, which we didn't find on Metaview's pages. If you want one modular agent platform, Metaview may suit you as is.
Metaview alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
Metaview's Screening agent is voice only, with video optional for integrity monitoring, per Metaview. NTRVSTA's interviewer can appear as a video avatar or speak as audio, and you pick per role. The interview is live and adjusts difficulty to each answer, so it does more than confirm basics. It can run full technical rounds from an exam library of languages and frameworks, with an interactive whiteboard for system design, as well as STAR behavioral interviews for non-technical roles.
You get a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments and a shareable report, and AI resume scoring ranks applicants against the job description. Our plans are public, and our NYC Local Law 144 bias audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026, is on our compliance page. What we don't do: take notes on your human interviews, source candidates, or act as an ATS. There's also no public API yet. Read NTRVSTA vs Metaview for more.
Best for: teams that want the AI to run a full, adaptive first-round interview rather than a short screen.

2. BrightHire
If the notetaker is the part of Metaview you use, BrightHire is the most similar product. BrightHire says it records and transcribes interviews, writes AI notes, scorecards and candidate summaries, and coaches interviewers. It also sells BrightHire Screen, which it calls an always-on AI interviewer for asynchronous voice or video first-round screens with follow-ups generated from the job description.
Zoom acquired BrightHire (announced November 2025, closed December 2025), but BrightHire says it stays platform-agnostic across Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. It lists SOC 2 Type 2 and a long ATS list. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: teams that want AI notes and interview analytics on human interviews, especially Zoom-centric ones.
3. HireVue
HireVue covers both halves of Metaview's pitch from a different angle. Its AI Interviewer, launched June 2026, runs a two-way voice interview with probing follow-ups. For human interviews, it offers live video with a co-pilot for Zoom and Teams. It adds one-way video, game-based assessments and skills tests, and lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and FedRAMP. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: enterprises that want AI screening and human interview support from one long-established vendor.
4. Eightfold
Eightfold sells an AI Interviewer that runs adaptive interviews by video, audio or text, plus an AI Interview Companion for interviews led by people. Eightfold says it was independently bias-audited under NYC Local Law 144 with results published, and it lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 42001. It's sold inside Eightfold's Talent Intelligence Platform, with no public pricing.
Best for: large enterprises that want screening and interview assistance inside a bigger talent suite.
5. HeyMilo
HeyMilo focuses on screening. It says its agents run two-way voice and video interviews plus SMS and forms, 24/7 in 20+ languages, score answers with written reasoning, auto-score resumes and add ID verification. Its ATS list covers staffing systems like Bullhorn, JobDiva and Avionté. HeyMilo claims third-party bias audits but doesn't name NYC Local Law 144.
Best for: staffing firms and high-volume employers that need multichannel AI screening.
6. Alex
Alex (formerly Apriora) is an AI recruiter that screens resumes, scores applications for fraud risk, runs a first-round interview by phone or video and books qualified candidates. It adds real-time proctoring and an ID-to-selfie check. Alex says it supports 33+ ATS integrations. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: teams that want identity and fraud checks baked into the first round.
When to stay with Metaview
Stay with Metaview if you like having sourcing, application review, voice screening and interview notes from one vendor, and its modular agents fit how your team works. Its pricing has a real self-serve entry point too: sourcing plans run $0, $100 and $300 per user per month, and Metaview says the first 25 AI screens are free. Its customer list (Deel, Affirm, Brex, Replit) skews toward fast-growing tech companies, so peers may already use it.

Questions
Is Metaview an AI interviewer or a notetaker?
Both, now. Metaview's core brand is still interview notes, but its Screening agent, launched in September 2026, holds a two-way voice conversation with candidates and returns a recording, summary and rubric score.
Does Metaview publish an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit?
We didn't find one on the pages we checked. Metaview lists SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and other privacy frameworks. On this list, NTRVSTA and Eightfold both say they have an LL144 bias audit.
What's the best Metaview alternative for just interview notes?
BrightHire is the closest match. It records and transcribes human interviews and produces AI notes, scorecards and summaries, and it works across Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.
Can I use an AI interviewer and Metaview together?
Yes. Some teams use a notetaker for human rounds and a separate AI interviewer for the first round. NTRVSTA runs the first round and hands you a report, so the two don't overlap much.
If you'd like to watch a live, adaptive first round, book a 20-minute demo or try a sample interview yourself.
We checked pricing and features for each product here in October 2026. These change often, so confirm with the vendor before you buy.
