This page was written by NTRVSTA, and that's worth knowing because our product is one of the BrightHire alternatives covered. Everything we say about the others comes from their published pages, which we link at the bottom.
BrightHire built its name on interview intelligence: recording human interviews and turning them into notes, scorecards and coaching. Zoom announced it was acquiring BrightHire in November 2025 and closed the deal that December. BrightHire says it remains platform-agnostic, but an ownership change is a natural moment to review vendors. Other reasons teams compare BrightHire alternatives are structural. BrightHire Screen is asynchronous and voice-based, and some teams want a live interviewer that adapts difficulty, or a video avatar. BrightHire's pricing isn't published. And its independent bias audit statement doesn't name NYC Local Law 144. If BrightHire's notes and analytics already run your interview process, staying could be right.
BrightHire alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
NTRVSTA replaces the screening half of BrightHire, not the notetaker half. BrightHire describes Screen as an async voice screen with follow-ups. Our interviewer works live: it holds a real-time conversation as a video avatar or as audio, and it raises or lowers difficulty based on how each answer lands. That matters most for technical roles, where a fixed set of follow-ups can't tell a strong senior engineer from a well-prepared junior one. Our exam library covers programming languages, frameworks, DevOps and AI/ML tools, system design on a whiteboard, and soft skills.
Reports include scores for technical skills, English proficiency and communication, plus video snippets and a shareable summary. AI resume scoring sorts applicants before the interview. Our NYC Local Law 144 audit (Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026) is on our compliance page. Limits: we don't record or coach your human interviews, our ATS list (Lever and others) is shorter than BrightHire's, and there's no public API yet. See NTRVSTA vs BrightHire.
Best for: teams that want the AI first round to be a real, adaptive interview for both technical and non-technical roles.
2. Metaview
Metaview is BrightHire's closest peer. It started as an interview notetaker and now sells modular agents for sourcing, application review, screening, notes, reports and outreach. Its Screening agent, launched in September 2026, runs an on-demand two-way voice conversation that Metaview says adapts to the role and the candidate's answers. It can include role-plays and code to explain or debug.
Metaview raised a $60M Series C in September 2026. Sourcing plans are public ($0, $100 and $300 per user per month), and Metaview says the first 25 AI screens are free. It lists SOC 2 Type II.
Best for: recruiting teams that want notes, sourcing and a voice screen in one modular platform.
3. HireVue
HireVue offers a co-pilot for live video interviews on Zoom and Teams, which covers part of what BrightHire does for human interviews. It also runs a two-way voice AI Interviewer (launched June 2026), one-way video, game-based assessments and skills tests. HireVue says its fairness audits cover NYC Local Law 144. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: enterprises that want AI screening and help with human interviews from one established vendor.
4. Eightfold
Eightfold has two products that line up with BrightHire's: an AI Interviewer for adaptive interviews by video, audio or text, and an AI Interview Companion for human-led interviews. Eightfold says it judges only the content of answers, not facial expressions, tone or accent. It lists SOC 2 Type II, FedRAMP Moderate and ISO/IEC 42001, and says its LL144 bias audit results are published. Pricing isn't public.
Best for: large enterprises buying AI interviewing inside a talent-intelligence suite.
5. HeyMilo
If BrightHire Screen is what you're replacing, HeyMilo is a screening specialist. It says its AI agents run two-way voice and video interviews, SMS and forms in 20+ languages, score answers with written reasoning, and add ID verification and cheat flags. It lists a broad ATS set, from Workday and iCIMS to Bullhorn.
Best for: staffing firms and high-volume teams that want multichannel AI screening.
6. Interviewer.AI
Interviewer.AI is a lightweight, self-serve option with public prices. Essential ($199/mo) is AI-scored one-way video with resume screening, and Professional ($399/mo) adds avatar-led conversational interviews with dynamic follow-ups, per the company. There's a 14-day free trial on paid plans.
Best for: smaller teams that want AI screening without a sales process.
When to stay with BrightHire
- Your main use is AI notes, scorecards and coaching on human interviews. None of the screeners above do that.
- You run interviews on Zoom and like the idea of tighter ties to it, while still using Google Meet or Teams where needed.
- You need its integration list. BrightHire's integrations page lists a long set of ATS, including Workday, iCIMS, Bullhorn and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Your peers use it. BrightHire names Canva, Zapier, HubSpot and Duolingo among its customers.

Questions
Is BrightHire still available after Zoom bought it?
Yes. BrightHire continues as a standalone brand inside Zoom, and brighthire.com doesn't redirect. BrightHire says it stays platform-agnostic across Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.
Is BrightHire Screen a live AI interviewer?
BrightHire calls it an always-on AI interviewer, but describes it as an asynchronous, two-way voice screen, with video optional by role. Its follow-up logic comes from the job description.
Can one tool replace both BrightHire's notes and its AI screen?
Metaview and HireVue each cover both jobs in some form. Most other tools specialize in one. Many teams pair a notetaker for human rounds with a separate AI interviewer for the first round.
