NTRVSTA vs Interviewer.AI: avatar interviews and pricing, compared

Both publish prices and both offer avatar interviews, which makes this one of the cleanest comparisons in the category.

Disclosure: NTRVSTA wrote this side-by-side, and we sell the other product in it. Everything about Interviewer.AI here comes from its homepage and pricing page, which we link below, and we've shown our math wherever we compare costs.

The short answer

Interviewer.AI and NTRVSTA both publish pricing and both offer AI avatar interviews, so you can compare them on paper before talking to either. Choose Interviewer.AI if you want low-cost, self-serve AI-scored one-way video, with conversational avatar interviews available on its $399 Professional plan, and especially if you hire in APAC, the UK or ANZ. Choose NTRVSTA if you want every interview to be live and adaptive, with difficulty that responds to each answer, a technical exam library and a published NYC Local Law 144 audit.

How NTRVSTA works

There's no one-way mode in NTRVSTA. Every interview is a live conversation with an AI interviewer, either a video avatar or a voice, and candidates can start it at any hour. The interviewer reacts to what it hears: it digs deeper after a strong answer and resets the level after a weak one, which gives you a truer read than fixed prompts.

You can use a ready-made avatar or one tailored to look like your own recruiter, brand the whole experience, and run it in multiple languages. Content comes from an exam library that spans programming languages and frameworks, AI/ML and DevOps tooling, and soft skills, with STAR behavioral questions, a hint system and a whiteboard for system design. Every interview ends with a score breakdown (technical skills, English proficiency, communication), video snippets and a shareable report. AI resume scoring ranks your applicants up front.

How Interviewer.AI works

Interviewer.AI says you create an interview from a job description, invite candidates by link or through your ATS, and candidates complete it on their own schedule. On the Essential plan, that's an AI-scored one-way video interview with resume screening. The Professional plan adds what Interviewer.AI calls "conversational, avatar-led interviews powered by agentic AI," with dynamic follow-ups, summaries, transcripts and fraud checks. Enterprise adds ATS integrations, custom avatars and voices, data residency and a dedicated account manager.

The company is Interviewer.AI Pte. Ltd., with offices listed in Singapore, the UK, Southeast Asia, ANZ and the US. It says it supports 10+ languages without listing them, shows GDPR and ISO 27001 badges, and describes its scoring as "Explainable AI." We didn't find SOC 2 or an NYC Local Law 144 audit on the pages we checked. Customers it names include Emaar, AIA, Axis Bank and Rogers.

When Interviewer.AI is the better choice

  • You mostly need one-way video screening at a low monthly price, and only want avatar interviews for some roles.
  • You hire across Singapore, the UK or ANZ and want a vendor with a presence there.
  • You want a 14-day trial of a paid plan before you commit.
  • You need data residency, which Interviewer.AI lists on its Enterprise plan.

And where NTRVSTA isn't the right call: if you want an ATS, we're not one, and our list of native ATS connections is short. A public API isn't available yet. For hourly hiring at scale with SMS apply and chat scheduling, Paradox or Fountain fit better. If you want people rather than AI to run the interview, consider a Karat-style service. We're also a younger company with fewer enterprise case studies to show.

Pricing compared

Interviewer.AI publishes its plans. Essential is $199/mo on monthly billing with 50 interview credits, 20-minute interviews, 3 job posts and 15 users. Professional is $399/mo with 120 credits, 30-minute interviews, 5 job posts and 25 users, and avatar interviews cost 2 credits each. Enterprise is custom and billed annually. Extra credits start at $150 per 50, and annual billing gives "2 months free."

By our math, and assuming one credit per one-way interview, Essential works out to about $3.98 each, and Professional to about $6.65 per avatar interview if you spend all 120 credits on avatars (60 interviews). Those interviews are capped at 20 or 30 minutes depending on the plan.

NTRVSTA meters by the minute: 1 credit for audio and 3 for avatar. Starter is $299/mo for 1,500 credits (about 30 interviews), Growth is $699/mo for 4,000 (about 80) and Scale is $1,999/mo for 12,500 (about 250), with a $0 Free Demo and custom Enterprise. Growth averages about $8.74 per interview, or $0.35 per minute. A 25-minute avatar interview uses 75 credits, while the audio version uses 25.

So on headline cost per interview, Interviewer.AI is lower, and the gap is widest for one-way video. What you're comparing is a capped one-way or avatar interview against a live adaptive one metered by the minute. Our AI interview pricing guide and calculator help you model both.

Who should pick which

  • If one-way video covers most of your roles and budget is tight, pick Interviewer.AI.
  • If you want every candidate to get a live, adaptive interview, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you need data residency in your contract, pick Interviewer.AI Enterprise.
  • If you hire mainly in Singapore, the UK or ANZ and want a vendor with offices there, pick Interviewer.AI.
  • If your hires are engineers who need a system-design round, pick NTRVSTA.
