NTRVSTA wrote this comparison and ranks itself first, so read it knowing that. We kept to AI interview tools for Workable whose vendors name Workable on their own sites, and every outside fact below comes from those vendors' pages, listed at the end.
TL;DR
Many teams on Workable hire without a large recruiting function, so a Workable AI interview tool has to be quick to set up and priced so you can see the bill before a sales call. Four of the seven tools here publish prices: NTRVSTA, HackerRank, Willo and Hireflix. Pick by role type, then check which plan includes the Workable connection.
- Best for live, adaptive interviews for any role at a published price: NTRVSTA (us)
- Best for engineering roles with an AI coding interviewer: HackerRank (Chakra)
- Best for voice, video and SMS screening at volume: HeyMilo
- Best for hourly and frontline hiring with a free trial: Ribbon
- Best for low-cost one-way video: Hireflix
The picks at a glance
What actually matters in a Workable AI interview tool
Plan gating matters more when budgets are tight. HackerRank lists ATS integrations on its Pro plan ($449/mo), not Starter. Willo lists its native integrations on Enterprise (from GBP 2,999 a year), while Willo Lite connects through Integrately. For everyone else, ask whether the Workable connection is included in the plan you're pricing, and get the answer in writing.
Then count cost per interview, not just the monthly fee. A tool that's cheap per month but caps you at a handful of interviews can cost more per hire than a bigger plan. If you hire in bursts, look for plans you can change month to month.
Last, match the tool to the role. One-way video works for a customer-facing role where you want to see how someone presents. A coding interviewer works for engineers. A live adaptive interviewer can cover both, because it pushes a strong candidate harder and eases off when someone struggles. Our guide to one-way vs live AI interviews goes deeper, and AI recruiting tools for startups covers more options for small teams.
1. NTRVSTA (us)
Workable is one of the ATS platforms NTRVSTA connects with. The point of connecting them is to get candidates from a Workable job into an AI first-round interview without copying links around, while the hiring team keeps working in Workable. Our Workable integration page explains setup; most teams are live within a few days, depending on customization.
Candidates talk with an AI interviewer, as a video avatar or by audio, whenever it suits them. It adapts questions and difficulty to each answer, so the same tool can screen a backend engineer (exam library, whiteboard system design) and an account executive (STAR behavioral questions, communication). Hints show how someone takes guidance. You get scores for technical skills, English proficiency and communication, video snippets, and a report to share with the hiring manager. AI resume scoring sorts the applicant list first.
Pricing is on the website. Starter is $299/mo for roughly 30 interviews, and the Growth plan works out to about $8.74 per interview at 80 a month. There's a free demo with 50 credits. Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: it's a screening step, not a replacement for Workable, and if you want people to run technical interviews for you, an interview-as-a-service like Karat fits better.
Best for: small and mid-sized Workable teams that want one first-round interviewer for every role, at a price they can see.

2. HackerRank (Chakra)
HackerRank lists Workable among its ATS integrations, alongside JazzHR, Breezy and Recruitee, and says it has 40+ integrations in total plus a REST API. Chakra, its AI interviewer, went generally available on October 5, 2026. It opens a canvas with a real-world problem, watches how the candidate uses an AI assistant, and asks adaptive voice follow-ups about their choices. HackerRank's FAQ puts ATS integrations on Pro at $449/mo. Starter is $199/mo, and Chakra's own price isn't published.
Best for: Workable teams hiring engineers who want coding and AI fluency tested in one session.
3. HeyMilo
HeyMilo includes Workable in an integration list that also covers Teamtailor, Manatal and Jobylon. Candidates join voice or video interviews by phone or browser, and HeyMilo's docs put them at about 10 to 20 minutes. It can add an AI scenario assessment, a chat task where the candidate is scored on how well they guide an AI. HeyMilo also screens by SMS and forms, scores resumes, and flags suspected AI-generated answers. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: growing Workable teams with large applicant pools across several channels.
4. Ribbon
Ribbon lists Workable among the 60+ ATS it says it supports. For a small team, the appeal is self-serve: a 7-day free trial and a public practice interview on Ribbon's site that you can try yourself. Its AI interviewer runs voice or video conversations that adapt to answers, scores them against custom rubrics, and flags integrity concerns for a person to review. Ribbon says a flag is a prompt for review, not proof. Dayforce announced a deal to acquire Ribbon on October 23, 2026, which hadn't closed when we checked. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: Workable teams hiring frontline staff who want to test an AI interviewer today.
5. BrightHire
BrightHire's integrations page includes Workable, Breezy and JazzHR among others. Most of what BrightHire does happens around human interviews: recording, transcription, AI notes, scorecards and interviewer coaching across Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. BrightHire Screen adds an asynchronous voice screen, with video as an option, in 30+ languages. BrightHire is now part of Zoom, which closed the acquisition in December 2025. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: Workable teams whose hiring managers run lots of interviews and want better notes on all of them.
6. Willo
Willo lists Workable among the 50+ native integrations on its Enterprise plan. Candidates record video or written answers, upload files or pick multiple choice, using Willo's 1,500+ ready-made assessments or your own questions. Lite costs GBP 49 per live role a month with no contract, which suits a team with only a few openings at once. Willo also offers a 50% non-profit discount.
Best for: UK and EU Workable teams with a few roles open at a time.
7. Hireflix
Hireflix names Workable among its ATS integrations. Its whole product is one-way video: build the questions once, invite as many candidates as you like, and they record on any device with no app. The hiring team reviews and shares the recordings. Hireflix's site describes no AI features. Small is $75/mo for companies under 50 employees and Medium is $150/mo for 50 to 250, both billed yearly, with a one-month free trial and no credit card.
Best for: Workable users who want async video at the lowest published price.

Questions
What's the cheapest way to add AI interviews to Workable?
Hireflix starts at $75/mo billed yearly, but it's one-way video without AI. NTRVSTA's Starter plan is $299/mo. HackerRank Starter is $199/mo, but HackerRank lists ATS integrations on Pro ($449/mo) and doesn't publish Chakra's price. Compare cost per interview, not just the monthly fee.
Will an AI interviewer work for non-technical Workable roles?
Some will. NTRVSTA covers technical and non-technical roles, with STAR behavioral questions and soft-skill exams. HeyMilo and Ribbon screen a wide range of roles too. HackerRank's Chakra focuses on technical and technical-adjacent roles such as AI engineer and GTM engineer.
How should we test a tool before rolling it out?
Pick one open role and run the AI first round next to your normal phone screen for a week or two, then compare who each would advance. Ribbon offers a 7-day trial, Hireflix a one-month trial, and NTRVSTA a free demo with 50 credits plus a sample interview anyone can take.
What should we tell candidates about the AI interview?
Tell them up front that an AI runs the first round, roughly how long it takes, and that a person reviews the results. That helps the process feel fair. If you hire in New York City, check the city's rules on automated hiring tools; NTRVSTA's bias audit is on our compliance page.
Hiring on Workable and want to see an adaptive first round on one of your own roles? Book a 20-minute demo, or spend a few minutes on a sample interview. Every plan is listed on our pricing page.
Integrations, prices and features on this page were checked in October 2026. Vendors change them often, so confirm Workable support and which plan includes it before you buy.
