Disclosure first: NTRVSTA wrote this guide to AI interview tools for Greenhouse, and NTRVSTA is one of the eight picks. Each Greenhouse AI interview option here publishes a Greenhouse connection on its own site, and every fact about it comes from that vendor, with links at the end.
TL;DR
Greenhouse is one of the most widely supported ATS platforms among the vendors we researched, so you have plenty of choice. The real decision is format: voice only, voice and video, a video avatar, a coding canvas, or an async recording. Start from the round you want to hand off.
- Best for live, adaptive interviews by avatar or audio across all roles, with prices on the website: NTRVSTA (us)
- Best for interview intelligence plus an async AI screen: BrightHire
- Best for voice, video and SMS screening in one tool: HeyMilo
- Best for AI notes on human interviews plus a voice screen: Metaview
- Best for engineering rounds in a coding canvas: HackerRank (Chakra)
The picks at a glance
What actually matters in a Greenhouse AI interview setup
Greenhouse teams tend to run structured hiring on purpose. They set up interview plans and scorecards before the first candidate applies. So the first test for any AI interview tool is simple: can it ask questions built around those same competencies, and does its output make sense next to a scorecard?
The second test is what lands on the candidate: a score, summary, transcript, recording, or just a link back to the vendor. Hiring managers who review in Greenhouse skip anything that needs another login. Third, check the contract: several vendors gate ATS connections behind enterprise tiers, so the list price may not be your price.
Last, be clear about the format: a live adaptive interview stands in for the recruiter phone screen, a coding canvas for the take-home, a one-way recording for the call itself. See one-way vs live AI interviews for the trade-offs.
1. NTRVSTA (us)
NTRVSTA lists Greenhouse among its ATS integrations, and our NTRVSTA + Greenhouse page explains the purpose: interview results sit with the candidate in Greenhouse, where your team already reviews applicants. The interview itself is live. An AI interviewer talks with each candidate as a video avatar or by audio only, and raises or lowers difficulty based on how they answer.
It works for engineers (an exam library of languages and frameworks like Python and React, plus system design on an interactive whiteboard) and for business roles (STAR behavioral questions and soft skills such as leadership). Reports show a score breakdown, video snippets of key moments and shareable notes. AI resume scoring ranks applicants against the job description, and our NYC LL144 bias audit by Asenion is on the compliance page. Plans are public: Free Demo $0, Starter $299/mo, Growth $699/mo, Scale $1,999/mo.
Where NTRVSTA isn't the right fit: we don't replace Greenhouse, and we aren't built for SMS-apply, chat-scheduled hourly hiring. We're also newer and smaller, with fewer published enterprise case studies.
Best for: Greenhouse teams hiring technical and non-technical roles who want a live, adaptive first round at a visible price.

2. BrightHire
Greenhouse is among the many ATS platforms on BrightHire's integrations page. BrightHire is best known for interview intelligence: it records and transcribes the human interviews your team runs, drafts AI notes and scorecards, and coaches interviewers on how they ask questions. For a Greenhouse team that already relies on scorecards, that's the part that tends to matter most.
For the first round, BrightHire sells Screen, which it calls an always-on AI interviewer. It runs asynchronously by voice, with video optional per role, and generates follow-up and probing questions from the job description. BrightHire says Screen supports 30+ languages and has had an independent AI bias audit. Zoom closed its BrightHire acquisition in December 2025. No prices are published.
Best for: Greenhouse teams whose priority is better human interviews, with an AI screen in front of them.
3. HeyMilo
HeyMilo lists Greenhouse among a long set of ATS integrations, including Bullhorn, Workday and iCIMS, and says it syncs reports and transcripts back to the ATS. Its AI agents screen by two-way voice or video, and also by SMS and forms, around the clock in 20+ languages. It adds resume scoring, ID verification and cheating flags. Pricing isn't published.
Best for: Greenhouse teams screening large applicant pools who want several channels, not just one interview format.
4. Metaview
Greenhouse is one of the integrations Metaview names on its site. Most Greenhouse teams know it as the notetaker that writes up human interviews, but it now sells separate agents for sourcing, application review, outreach and screening. The Screening agent, launched in September 2026, holds an on-demand voice conversation that Metaview says adapts to each answer and can include role-plays or a code question to explain.
Sourcing plans run $0 to $300 per user a month. Metaview's launch post says the first 25 screens are free, and the paid screening rate isn't published.
Best for: teams that already want AI notes on every Greenhouse interview and would like the first-round screen from the same vendor.
5. Ribbon
Ribbon lists Greenhouse, Workday and Ashby and says it connects to 60+ ATS platforms. Its AI interviewer runs live voice or video interviews on any phone, 24/7, that Ribbon says adapt to the candidate's answers. It scores against custom rubrics and flags off-screen activity. It says it has an NYC LL144 bias audit, last audited in 2025.
On October 23, 2026, Dayforce announced it would acquire Ribbon, a deal still pending at our last check. Prices aren't published, but there's a 7-day free trial.
Best for: Greenhouse users hiring frontline staff at volume who want to try a live AI interviewer before talking to sales.
6. HackerRank (Chakra)
HackerRank lists Greenhouse among its ATS integrations and says it has 40+ ATS, calendar and video connections in total. Chakra, its AI interviewer, became generally available on October 5, 2026. HackerRank says it sets a real-world problem in a canvas, watches the candidate work with an AI assistant, and asks adaptive voice follow-ups. ATS integrations come on the Pro plan at $449/mo. Chakra is unpriced.
Best for: Greenhouse engineering teams testing coding and AI fluency together.
7. CoderPad
CoderPad names Greenhouse and puts ATS integrations on its Enterprise plan. Its core product is a live coding pad with session playback. Qualify adds an async step: candidates record video answers and an AI reviewer scores them against your rubric. Starter is $80/mo billed yearly and Team is $400/mo; Enterprise, which includes the ATS connection, is custom.
Best for: Greenhouse teams that want human-led live coding interviews with a light AI pre-screen in front.
8. Interviewer.AI
Interviewer.AI lists Greenhouse, along with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters and Bullhorn, and says ATS integrations come on its Enterprise plan only. Its Essential plan ($199/mo) runs AI-scored one-way video with resume screening. Professional ($399/mo) adds avatar-led conversational interviews with dynamic follow-ups. Paid plans come with a 14-day trial.
Best for: smaller teams that want to test avatar interviews cheaply, then move to Enterprise once the Greenhouse connection matters.

Questions
Can I add an AI interview to only some Greenhouse jobs?
Yes, and it's the safest way to start. Pick one or two roles with lots of applicants and a clear rubric, run the AI interview there for a few weeks, and widen it only once hiring managers trust the reports. Tools that let you customize interviews per role make this easier.
What should a Greenhouse AI interview send back to the candidate record?
At minimum, a score and a readable summary the hiring manager can judge without opening another app. Better tools add a transcript or recording and the reasons behind the score. Ask to see a finished candidate in a Greenhouse sandbox.
Can an AI interview replace the Greenhouse scorecard step?
It shouldn't. Use the AI interview for the first round and keep human interviewers filling in Greenhouse scorecards for later rounds. The best results come when the AI interview is built around the same competencies your scorecards already rate.
Do I need a bias audit for an AI interview tool used with Greenhouse?
If you hire for jobs in New York City and the tool substantially assists the decision, NYC Local Law 144 may require one. Ribbon says it has an LL144 audit, HackerRank's Chakra page mentions audits in line with LL144, and NTRVSTA publishes its Asenion audit on its compliance page. This is not legal advice.
How many AI interview tools should a Greenhouse team pilot?
Two is usually enough. Run one that matches your main format and one that differs on the same live role for a few weeks, then compare which reports hiring managers actually used.
