Tenzo alternatives: 6 AI recruiters and interviewers compared (2026)

Tenzo's Morgan does a lot of recruiting jobs at once. If you need a deeper interview, a price list or a different channel mix, compare these.

Disclosure: this page was written by NTRVSTA, which competes with Tenzo, and we list ourselves first among the Tenzo alternatives. For Tenzo and every other vendor, we used only what they publish themselves; the links are under Sources.

Tenzo pitches Morgan, an AI recruiter that runs voice interviews by phone or video at any hour, reviews resumes, flags fraud, books interviews and resurfaces past applicants from your ATS. Tenzo says it works in 40+ languages and connects to 57+ ATS two ways. People still research Tenzo competitors for a few reasons: prices aren't published, the site doesn't mention an NYC Local Law 144 audit, and teams hiring engineers may want a deeper technical interview than a recruiter screening call. If your main job is moving many candidates through screening and scheduling in many languages, Tenzo may already fit, and we cover that below.

1. NTRVSTA (us)

Tenzo spreads one agent across many recruiting steps. NTRVSTA puts its effort into the interview. Our AI interviewer meets each candidate live, as a video avatar or audio only, and changes the difficulty after every answer. Technical rounds use an exam library (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, React, Node.js, AI/ML and DevOps tools) and an interactive whiteboard for system design. Non-technical roles get STAR behavioral questions and soft-skills checks. AI resume scoring ranks applicants against the job description first,.

We publish our prices and our NYC Local Law 144 audit by Asenion, which is on our compliance page. Where Tenzo is ahead: fraud detection, scheduling, ATS rediscovery and outreach over WhatsApp and email are part of Morgan, and they aren't part of NTRVSTA. We connect to ATS and HR systems including Bullhorn, JobDiva and Greenhouse, with a REST API and SFTP, but we're not an ATS. Read NTRVSTA vs Tenzo for the full comparison.

Best for: hiring managers who would trade a few recruiting automations for a sharper, adaptive first-round interview.

2. HeyMilo

HeyMilo is the most direct swap if you like Tenzo's breadth. Its agents run two-way voice and video interviews and also screen through SMS and forms. HeyMilo says it scores answers against your criteria with written reasoning, auto-scores resumes, adds trust signals like ID verification and cheat flags, and works in 20+ languages. Its ATS list includes Bullhorn, Avionté, JobDiva and Salesforce.

HeyMilo shows an AICPA SOC 2 badge and claims third-party bias audits without naming Local Law 144. Prices aren't published.

Best for: staffing and high-volume teams that want voice, video and text screening under one roof.

3. ConverzAI

ConverzAI is staffing-only by design. Its Virtual Recruiter works the phone, text and email, and the company says it can lead interviews on its own. Its biggest selling point is reactivation: it matches people already sitting in your ATS to new orders and writes the results back. Its integrations are staffing systems such as Bullhorn, Ceipal, LaborEdge and TempWorks.

ConverzAI claims SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA, and third-party bias audits without naming LL144. Press coverage reported a $16M Series A in February 2025. No prices are published.

Best for: agencies that want an AI recruiter to work their existing database as hard as new applicants.

4. Alex

Alex, which used to be called Apriora, overlaps with Tenzo on fraud. It scores each application for fraud risk before screening the resume, then runs an always-on first round by phone or video and books qualified people onto your calendars. It also sells real-time proctoring and an ID-to-selfie match. Alex says it supports 30 languages and 33+ ATS integrations.

Alex announced $20M in total funding on September 29, 2025, a $17M Series A led by Peak XV plus a $3M seed. Its pricing page offers a demo only.

Best for: recruiting teams that have seen proxy or fake candidates and want identity checks built into the first round.

5. Classet

Where Tenzo's Morgan juggles many tasks, Classet's Joy sticks to the first phone call for hourly roles. Joy rings each applicant, works through the questions and must-haves you set, fields the candidate's own questions, and then books next steps over text and email. Classet grades every call on a four-step scale from Strong to Weak, quoting the candidate as evidence, and leaves the decision to people. Classet describes Joy as following your script rather than improvising follow-ups.

Unusually for this group, the price list is public. The Hiring Hub plan begins at $249/mo on an annual contract, or $349 month to month, and includes 50 completed interviews; syncing with Workday or Dayforce is a separate ATS Sync tier from $1,995/mo. New accounts get 20 interviews free, and Classet says an outside firm, Warden AI, audits it for bias monthly.

Best for: trades, logistics, healthcare and car wash employers that want quick phone screens at a known price.

6. Glider AI

Glider AI suits staffing firms that need more than a phone screen. It groups its product into Engage (AI recruiter, voice phone screens, chatbot), Verify (ID verification, proctoring), Assess (technical tests and coding simulations) and Interview (AI video, one-way video, live coding). Its pages don't confirm a real-time adaptive interviewer. Its integrations include Bullhorn, JobDiva, Beeline and Magnit.

Ownership matters here: Findem said on March 19, 2026 that it had signed a deal to buy Glider AI, which keeps operating under its own name within Findem. Glider quotes prices on request.

Best for: staffing and contingent-workforce programs that want skills tests and integrity checks next to screening.

Questions

Who are Tenzo's main competitors?

The closest are other AI recruiters that interview by phone or video and handle more of the funnel: HeyMilo, Alex and ConverzAI. Classet competes for hourly phone screens, Glider AI for staffing firms that also need assessments and proctoring, and NTRVSTA for teams that want an adaptive interview with technical depth.

How much does Tenzo cost?

Tenzo doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says plans are scoped to hiring volume and roles, and it offers a demo rather than a self-serve trial. On this list, NTRVSTA and Classet publish their prices.

Does Tenzo have an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit?

Tenzo's site doesn't mention Local Law 144. It describes a de-biasing layer that removes protected-class details from transcripts before scoring, and it lets candidates opt out of the AI interview. NTRVSTA publishes an LL144 audit by Asenion, and Classet says Warden AI audits it for bias every month.

Which Tenzo alternative is best for technical roles?

NTRVSTA, because its interviewer adjusts difficulty as candidates answer and draws on an exam library for programming languages, frameworks and DevOps tools, with a whiteboard for system design. Most other tools here are built for recruiter-style screening calls rather than technical depth.

If you'd like to compare an adaptive interview with your current screening calls, book a 20-minute demo. You can also try a sample interview right now, no call needed.
