A quick disclosure before the list: NTRVSTA wrote this roundup of Interviewer AI alternatives, and our own product is one of the six. We limited every claim about other vendors to what they publish themselves, and the links are in the Sources section at the end.
Interviewer.AI is easy to start with: public prices, a 14-day trial, and interviews built from a job description. Teams still compare Interviewer AI competitors, for structural reasons. The $199 Essential plan is AI-scored one-way video, and conversational avatar interviews only arrive on the $399 Professional plan. Interviews are capped at 20 or 30 minutes depending on the plan, which is tight for a technical round. ATS integrations sit on the custom Enterprise plan. And we didn't find a published NYC Local Law 144 bias audit on its site, which matters if you hire in New York City. If you mainly want inexpensive one-way screening for hires in Singapore, the UK or ANZ, Interviewer.AI may still be the right call (more on that below).
The Interviewer AI alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
The biggest difference from Interviewer.AI is that NTRVSTA has no one-way tier. Every interview is a live conversation, with the interviewer shown as a video avatar or speaking as audio only, and it raises or lowers difficulty as the candidate answers. We cover engineers and non-technical roles in the same product, using an exam library of programming languages, frameworks such as React and Node.js, AI/ML and DevOps tools, and soft skills. System-design rounds get an interactive whiteboard, behavioral questions follow STAR, and a hint system shows how a candidate uses help.
Reports give a score breakdown (technical skills, English proficiency, communication) and video snippets of key moments, and AI resume scoring ranks applicants against your job description. We meter by the minute, so long technical rounds aren't cut off by a plan cap (details on our pricing page). Our NYC Local Law 144 bias audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026, is on our compliance page. Where we're weaker: we aren't an ATS, our native ATS list (Lever and others) is short, our API is still "coming soon," and we have fewer enterprise case studies. Our NTRVSTA vs Interviewer.AI comparison covers the per-interview math in detail.
Best for: teams that want every candidate to get a live, adaptive interview, for both technical and non-technical roles, with public pricing.

2. HeyMilo
HeyMilo says its AI agents screen candidates 24/7 through two-way voice and video interviews, plus SMS and forms, in 20+ languages. It scores answers against your criteria with written reasoning, auto-scores resumes, and adds trust signals such as ID verification and cheat flags. Its ATS list is the longest here, including Workday, iCIMS, Bullhorn and Ashby.
HeyMilo doesn't publish prices. It shows a SOC 2 badge and says it runs third-party bias audits, though NYC Local Law 144 isn't named on the pages we checked.
Best for: staffing firms and high-volume employers that want voice, video and SMS screening wired into the ATS they already run.
3. CodeSignal
CodeSignal is best known for coding assessments, and it now sells an AI Interviewer that candidates talk to by phone or in a browser on their own schedule. CodeSignal says it asks follow-up questions when an answer is thin and returns a score, skills evaluation and transcript, with a person making the call.
Like Interviewer.AI, CodeSignal publishes its prices. Build is $79/mo billed annually (60 credits a year) or $99/mo monthly, Grow is $479/mo billed annually, and extra credits are $20 each. It doesn't describe a video avatar.
Best for: teams that want self-serve voice AI interviews next to established coding tests.
4. TestGorilla
TestGorilla has a free plan and a library of 350+ auto-scored skills tests and job simulations. It also sells AI interviews with 3 to 9 structured questions and dynamic follow-ups, which TestGorilla says feel like a live call, though candidates complete them on their own time.
Paid plans start at $215/mo billed annually, and AI interviews use 2 credits per candidate on the Plus plan (from $520/mo). TestGorilla's pricing page lists SOC 2 Type II on all plans.
Best for: teams that want cheap skills testing first and an async AI interview as a second filter.
5. Willo
Willo is a UK company. Candidates answer structured questions on any device by video, written answer, file upload or multiple choice, using Willo's 1,500+ ready-made assessments or your own. Willo Intelligence adds transcripts, summaries, benchmarks and what Willo lists as follow-up questions, and Willo Verified adds ID, right-to-work and background checks. There's no real-time AI interviewer.
Pricing is per open role: the pay-as-you-go Lite plan is £49 a month for each live role, and annual Enterprise contracts begin at £2,999. Its pricing page lists 18+ languages and ISO 27001.
Best for: UK and EU employers that want async screening priced per open role, with compliance checks built in.
6. Hireflix
If you only ever used one-way video, Hireflix does that one thing: you build an interview once, invite unlimited candidates, and they record answers on any device with no app or sign-up. It deliberately skips live interviews, assessments and scheduling, and its site doesn't mention AI scoring.
Small is $75/mo billed yearly for companies under 50 employees, Medium is $150/mo for 50 to 250, and there's a one-month free trial with no credit card. Hireflix's pricing page lists SOC 2.
Best for: small teams that want the simplest possible recorded video screen and are happy to score answers themselves.
When to stay with Interviewer.AI
If most of your roles only need AI-scored one-way video, the $199 Essential plan is hard to beat on cost per interview. If you want avatar interviews for some roles and one-way video for the rest under one login, Professional gives you both. It also lists data residency on Enterprise and offices across Singapore, the UK, Southeast Asia, ANZ and the US, which helps regional hiring teams. Before switching, name the gap: format, compliance paperwork or ATS fit. Each points to a different tool above.

Questions
What are the main Interviewer AI competitors?
For conversational AI interviews, the closest are NTRVSTA, HeyMilo and CodeSignal. For recorded one-way video, Hireflix, Willo and TestGorilla's video questions cover similar ground. Pick based on whether you need a live interviewer or just recorded answers.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Interviewer.AI?
For pure one-way video, Hireflix starts at $75/mo billed yearly, and TestGorilla has a free plan with limited AI interviews. For live adaptive interviews, NTRVSTA has a $0 Free Demo plan with 50 credits so you can test before paying.
Which alternatives publish a bias audit?
NTRVSTA publishes an NYC Local Law 144 bias audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026. HeyMilo says it runs third-party bias audits without naming LL144. We didn't find a published LL144 audit for the other tools on this list or for Interviewer.AI.
Can I keep my ATS if I switch?
Yes. None of these tools replace your ATS. Check the connector list before you sign, since it varies a lot, from HeyMilo's long list to Hireflix, which focuses on video only.
