How NTRVSTA works

NTRVSTA sits at the point where a recruiter would normally book a first-round call. AI resume scoring ranks your applicants against the job description and surfaces the strongest. Each invited candidate then takes a live interview with our AI interviewer, at any hour, as a video avatar conversation or audio only.

The interview isn't a fixed script. When a candidate nails an answer, the next question gets harder; when they struggle, it eases off. That's how a single session can test a Python developer on real depth or check a support lead's judgment with STAR behavioral questions. The exam library spans programming languages, frameworks and tools such as React, Node.js and DevOps tooling, and soft skills like leadership and problem-solving. System-design rounds use an interactive whiteboard, and a hint system shows how candidates respond to a nudge.

You get a score breakdown for technical skills, English proficiency and communication, video snippets of the key moments, and a report you can share with a client or hiring manager. Interviews can carry your brand and run in multiple languages, and most teams are live within a few days.

How ConverzAI works

ConverzAI sells what it calls a Virtual Recruiter. According to its site, it engages candidates through phone calls, text messages and email, can lead interviews autonomously, and writes the results back into your ATS. A big part of the pitch is reactivation: it matches people already sitting in your database to roles you have open now, then reaches out to them.

The company is built around staffing. It lists connectors for Bullhorn, Avionté, Ceipal, Erecruit, JobDiva, LaborEdge, Salesforce, TargetRecruit, TempWorks and Tracker, plus custom ATS work. Published customers include Apex Systems, Malone Workforce Solutions, SSi People, TalentBridge and Integrity Staffing Solutions. Press coverage reported a $16M Series A in February 2025.

On trust, ConverzAI's site says it holds SOC 2 Type II, is HIPAA compliant and is third-party AI bias audited. It doesn't name NYC Local Law 144 or link an audit summary on the pages we checked, and it doesn't describe how its interview questions adapt.

When ConverzAI is the better choice

  • You're a staffing firm and your best untapped candidates are already in Bullhorn, JobDiva or another staffing ATS.
  • You need outbound calling and texting to reach candidates, not just an interview link they open themselves.
  • Your security review requires SOC 2 Type II or HIPAA, which ConverzAI says it has. We don't publish either.
  • Your roles need a quick phone screen more than a long skills interview.

There are other cases where we'd point you elsewhere too. NTRVSTA is a screening and interview layer, not an ATS, and its native integration list is short compared with the large suites. The public API is still marked coming soon. For high-volume hourly work built on SMS apply and chat scheduling, Paradox or Fountain will serve you better. For interviews led by real people, consider a Karat-style service. We're also newer and smaller than the incumbents, with fewer published enterprise case studies.

Pricing compared

ConverzAI doesn't list prices. You'll need a sales conversation to learn how it charges and what a pilot would cost.

NTRVSTA's plans are posted on our pricing section, with a calculator. You buy credits and spend them per interview minute: 1 credit a minute for audio, 3 for an avatar.

  • Free Demo, $0: 50 credits, 1 concurrent interview.
  • Starter, $299/mo: 1,500 credits (around 30 interviews), 3 concurrent, email support.
  • Growth, $699/mo: 4,000 credits (around 80 interviews), 5 concurrent, priority support.
  • Scale, $1,999/mo: 12,500 credits (around 250 interviews), 15 concurrent, priority support plus SLA.
  • Enterprise, custom: SSO/SAML, a dedicated CSM, on-prem available.

Our site's worked example puts Growth at about $8.74 per interview when you run 80 a month, or $0.35 a minute. A 25-minute audio interview spends 25 credits; with an avatar it spends 75. Agencies can price that against a recruiter's hour on the phone. Our AI interview pricing guide has a simple way to compare credit plans with quoted ones.

Who should pick which

  • If you want an AI to phone and text thousands of past applicants in your staffing ATS, pick ConverzAI.
  • If you place developers or data people and need proof of skill before the client call, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If Bullhorn or JobDiva is your system of record and you want results written straight back, pick ConverzAI.
  • If you want candidates to see an interviewer on screen as a video avatar, pick NTRVSTA.
  • If you need to compare prices before talking to anyone, pick NTRVSTA.

Questions

Who is ConverzAI built for?

ConverzAI targets staffing firms, from large enterprises to small agencies. Its published customers include Apex Systems, SSi People and Integrity Staffing Solutions, and it connects to staffing systems like Bullhorn, JobDiva and Avionté.

Does ConverzAI interview candidates on its own?

ConverzAI says its Virtual Recruiter can lead all interviews autonomously by phone, with text and email around the call. It doesn't publish details on how its questions adapt. NTRVSTA's interviewer adjusts each question and its difficulty to the candidate's answers.

Can a staffing agency use NTRVSTA?

Yes, if the agency places people in roles that need a real skills interview, such as software, data or client-facing jobs. NTRVSTA works alongside your ATS (Lever and others). It doesn't re-engage your database by phone or text the way ConverzAI says it does.

What does ConverzAI publish about security and bias?

ConverzAI says it holds SOC 2 Type II, is HIPAA compliant and has third-party AI bias audits. It doesn't name NYC Local Law 144 in what we read. NTRVSTA's LL144 bias audit by Asenion was finalized on October 20, 2026.

If you'd like to hear the difference, run a sample AI interview on yourself, then book a 20-minute demo to walk through it with us. Audit details live on our compliance page.
