Disclosure first: this list was written by NTRVSTA, and NTRVSTA is one of the seven tools on it. We describe every other product using only the vendor's own pages and announcements, which you'll find under Sources.
Fountain isn't just a screening tool. It's a frontline hiring platform with an ATS, CRM, sourcing, onboarding and shift scheduling, now pitched as "Frontline Superintelligence" and run by an agent called Cue. Its voice AI interviewer, Anna, runs short structured interviews by phone or browser and adapts to answers by default, per Fountain's FAQ. So when people search for Fountain alternatives and competitors, the first question is which part they want to replace. Some want a different whole platform. Some want a different AI interviewer on the ATS they already have. Others want published pricing, which Fountain doesn't offer, or a published NYC Local Law 144 bias audit, which we didn't find. If your hiring is mostly hourly and Fountain runs smoothly, staying is often the right call.
The Fountain alternatives at a glance
1. NTRVSTA (us)
We'll be direct: if you're replacing Fountain for crew members, drivers or warehouse associates, NTRVSTA isn't the answer. We don't do text-to-apply, chat scheduling or onboarding, and we aren't an ATS. Where we help is the other part of a frontline company's hiring: shift and store managers, supervisors, maintenance techs, engineers, planners and corporate staff. Those roles need more than the roughly five-minute screen Fountain describes for Anna.
NTRVSTA's interviewer works as a video avatar or audio only, and it raises or lowers difficulty with each answer. It asks STAR behavioral questions, can offer hints, and draws on an exam library for technical skills, with a whiteboard for system design. AI resume scoring ranks applicants first, and reports include a score breakdown and video snippets. Plans are on our pricing page, and our LL144 audit by Asenion is on the compliance page. We connect to your HR systems (Workday, ADP, UKG, Dayforce and more), so you can keep Fountain for hourly roles and add us for the rest. Our NTRVSTA vs Fountain page compares the two directly.
Best for: frontline companies that want an adaptive interview for their skilled and salaried openings while Fountain keeps running the hourly funnel.
2. Paradox
Paradox is the closest like-for-like platform swap. It sells a conversational ATS, a career-site builder and its assistant Olivia, which handles applications, screening questions, scheduling, hiring events and onboarding over chat and SMS. Paradox has belonged to Workday since October 1, 2025. The main structural difference from Fountain is the interview: Paradox doesn't describe a live voice interviewer like Anna.
Best for: national retail, QSR and franchise employers, particularly those already on Workday.
3. Humanly
Humanly has grown into a full suite by buying companies, including Teamable, Sprockets, Qualifi and HourWork. It now sells an AI recruiter, AI interviewer, notetaker, talent CRM and ATS. Humanly says its interviewer runs over chat, voice and video and asks every candidate the same structured questions, so expect consistency rather than adaptive follow-ups. It also publishes a wide list of ATS partners (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, UKG, iCIMS and others) if you'd rather not replace your ATS at all.
Best for: frontline employers that want engagement, interviews and scheduling from a single vendor.
4. Ribbon
Ribbon is the nearest match to Anna as an interviewer. It says it runs two-way voice or video interviews that adapt to each answer, any time, on any phone, scored against custom rubrics. It also does outreach and integrity monitoring, and connects to 60+ ATS. Ribbon says it has an NYC LL144 audit, last done in 2025, and offers a 7-day free trial. Dayforce announced on October 23, 2026 that it agreed to acquire Ribbon; the deal hadn't closed when we checked on October 27.
Best for: hourly employers that want to keep their ATS and change only the AI interview.
5. Classet
Classet is narrower than Fountain and easier to price. Its AI recruiter Joy phones applicants right after they apply, follows your script, answers their questions and books next steps by text or email. Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, and each account gets 20 free interviews. For bias checks, Classet points to monthly audits by Warden AI.
Best for: smaller trades, logistics and service employers who want a phone screen without a platform contract.
6. Sapia.ai
Sapia.ai takes a different route: a structured interview by text chat that every applicant can finish on a phone. Sapia says it has assessed 10M+ candidates and pushes results into ATS platforms including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters and iCIMS. It lists SOC 2 Type 2 and several ISO certifications and links an independent bias analysis by BLDS from its homepage. It doesn't offer a voice or video interviewer, and pricing isn't public.
Best for: retail and enterprise volume hiring where a typed interview suits candidates better than a call.
7. HeyMilo
HeyMilo is an interviewer you add, not a platform you move to. Its agents run voice and video interviews and screen by SMS and forms in 20+ languages, then sync transcripts and scores to ATS tools such as Workday, UKG, iCIMS and SuccessFactors. Pricing is by quote.
Best for: volume employers that want Anna-style screening on an ATS they already own.
When to stay with Fountain
Fountain earns its place when hourly hiring is most of your hiring. Having the ATS, scheduling, onboarding and a voice interviewer in one product means fewer handoffs, and Fountain says it connects to 40+ HR, scheduling and background-check systems. If you're on ADP, you can also get Fountain's AI interviewer through the ADP Marketplace without moving everything. Before leaving, price out replacing every piece, not just the interview.

Questions
What are the best Fountain alternatives for hourly hiring?
If you want to replace Fountain as your system of record, Paradox and Humanly both sell a conversational ATS. If you only want a different screening step, Ribbon, Classet and Sapia.ai plug into an existing ATS. NTRVSTA fits the skilled and salaried roles next to your hourly funnel, not the hourly funnel itself.
Can I use Fountain's AI interviewer without the Fountain ATS?
Fountain sells its AI interviewer as a standalone app on the ADP Marketplace, per its listing there. Outside ADP, ask Fountain directly whether Anna can run on top of another ATS.
Does Fountain publish its pricing?
No, Fountain doesn't list prices, and neither do Paradox, Humanly, Ribbon or Sapia.ai. Classet's Hiring Hub is listed from $249 a month on annual billing. NTRVSTA's plans are public on its pricing page.
Is NTRVSTA a replacement for Fountain?
Not for most hourly employers. NTRVSTA is an interview and screening layer, not an ATS, and it isn't built for SMS apply or chat-based shift scheduling. It's a better match for roles like store managers, maintenance techs, engineers and corporate staff, where a deeper adaptive interview pays off.
