Classet alternatives: 6 AI phone screening and interview tools compared

Classet's Joy is a quick, low-cost phone screen for hourly roles. If you need adaptive follow-ups, video, or deeper skills checks, these are the tools to look at.

A note before you start: NTRVSTA wrote this page, and we're one of the six Classet alternatives on it. Everything we say about other vendors comes from their own websites or official announcements, and those pages are listed under Sources.

Classet does one job well. Its AI recruiter, Joy, phones applicants the moment they apply, asks your questions, answers theirs, then books the next step by text and email. Every call gets a label (Strong, Good, Borderline or Weak) with quoted evidence, and Classet says a human makes every decision. So why do teams search for Classet alternatives and competitors? Usually for structural reasons. Classet describes Joy as following your script, and it doesn't claim real-time adaptive follow-ups. It runs by phone, with no video option listed. It doesn't list resume screening. And its published ATS connections are short: Indeed and Reelist on Hiring Hub, with Workday and Dayforce through ATS Sync, which starts at $1,995 a month. If you hire mostly hourly staff and like a known price, though, Classet may already be the right tool.

1. NTRVSTA (us)

NTRVSTA is the pick when the role is harder than a five-question phone screen. Our AI interviewer runs a live conversation as a video avatar or as audio only, and it adjusts as the candidate talks: it asks a tougher question after a strong answer and steps back after a weak one. It handles engineers, with an exam library and a system-design whiteboard, and non-technical roles, with STAR behavioral questions and a hint system that shows how someone uses guidance. Before anyone is invited, AI resume scoring ranks every applicant against your job description, a step Classet doesn't list.

Our plans are on the pricing page; Growth works out to about $8.74 per interview at 80 interviews a month. Our NYC Local Law 144 bias audit by Asenion, finalized October 20, 2026, is on the compliance page. The honest gap: NTRVSTA isn't built for call-to-apply lines or SMS-driven hourly funnels, and Classet does that job at a lower entry price. We're also not an ATS. We connect to your existing systems instead, including Workday, Dayforce and Indeed. See NTRVSTA vs Classet for a row-by-row view.

Best for: teams hiring technicians, supervisors, engineers or office staff who want an adaptive first round instead of a scripted call.

2. Fountain

If you like Classet's hourly focus but want the screening to live inside your ATS, Fountain is the bigger version of that idea. Fountain is a full frontline platform covering ATS, CRM, sourcing, onboarding and shift scheduling. Its voice interviewer, Anna, runs structured interviews by phone or browser. Fountain's support FAQ says Anna asks clarifying questions and adapts to responses by default, then hands a human a score, summary, transcript and recording. Fountain says it's SOC 2 compliant, and it doesn't publish prices.

Best for: QSR, logistics and gig employers who would rather run hiring on one frontline platform than add a phone screener to an ATS.

3. Ribbon

Ribbon covers similar roles to Classet but describes a more adaptive interview: two-way voice or video, available 24/7 on any phone, scored against custom rubrics. It also offers sourcing, outreach and integrity monitoring, and says it connects to 60+ ATS. Ribbon lists a 7-day free trial, and it says it has an NYC LL144 audit, last done in 2025.

One thing to weigh: on October 23, 2026, Dayforce announced a definitive agreement to acquire Ribbon. It hadn't closed as of our October 27 check.

Best for: frontline teams that want adaptive voice or video screening and are comfortable with a pending acquisition.

4. HeyMilo

HeyMilo gives you more channels than Classet. It says its AI agents screen by two-way voice and video interviews, plus SMS and forms, around the clock in 20+ languages, and score answers against your criteria with written reasoning. It also auto-scores resumes and adds ID verification and cheat flags. Its ATS list is broad, from Greenhouse and Workday to Bullhorn and JobDiva. HeyMilo says it has third-party bias audits but doesn't name LL144, and its pricing isn't published.

Best for: staffing firms and volume employers that need screening to land in an ATS Classet doesn't connect to.

5. Tenzo

Tenzo's AI recruiter, Morgan, runs voice interviews by phone or video at any hour, and Tenzo adds resume review, fraud detection, scheduling and rediscovery of past candidates in your ATS. It lists 40+ languages and 57+ bi-directional ATS integrations, with the full list on request. Tenzo says a de-biasing layer strips protected-class details from transcripts before scoring, and it holds SOC 2 Type 2. Pricing is a custom quote based on volume and roles.

Best for: hourly and staffing teams that hire in many languages and want fraud checks with the phone screen.

6. Paradox

Paradox approaches the same hourly problem through chat instead of a call. Its assistant, Olivia, takes applications, asks screening questions and schedules interviews over chat and SMS, and Paradox says it detects 100+ languages. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on October 1, 2025, and the brand still runs on its own site. It doesn't describe a live voice interviewer, and it doesn't publish prices.

Best for: national retail, QSR and franchise brands, particularly on Workday, that want text-to-apply at very large scale.

When to stay with Classet

  • Your openings are mostly hourly (trades, logistics, healthcare support, car washes) and a short phone screen is all the first round needs.
  • You want a price you can see before talking to sales. Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, with 50 completed interviews, and every account gets 20 free interviews.
  • Speed matters more than integrations. Classet says Hiring Hub can go live the same day by connecting Indeed or pasting a job link.
  • You want a monthly outside bias check. Classet says Warden AI audits it every month.

Questions

Who are Classet's main competitors?

For hourly and frontline phone screening, the closest Classet competitors are Fountain, Ribbon, HeyMilo, Tenzo and Paradox. NTRVSTA competes when the role needs a longer, adaptive interview, such as technical, skilled or salaried positions.

Is Classet cheaper than other AI interviewers?

Classet is one of the few that publishes a price: its Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, or $349 month to month, with 50 completed interviews. NTRVSTA also publishes its plans. Fountain, Ribbon, HeyMilo, Tenzo and Paradox don't list prices, so you can only compare them with a quote.

Does Classet adapt its questions to each candidate?

Classet describes Joy following the questions and must-haves you set, and we didn't find a claim of real-time adaptive follow-ups on its site. Fountain, Ribbon and HeyMilo each describe interviewers that adapt to answers, and NTRVSTA adjusts both questions and difficulty as the candidate responds.

Can I keep Classet and add another tool?

Yes, and some teams do. A common split is Classet for hourly phone screens and a deeper AI interviewer for skilled or salaried roles. Check that both tools write results to the same ATS so recruiters don't have two places to look.
